Staying Informed, Staying Safe 🛡️

We were pleased to welcome members of the Brantford Police Service to Riverview Terrace this week for an informative session on fraud prevention and scam awareness.

Our residents had the opportunity to learn about common types of scams, how to recognize warning signs, and ways to protect themselves and their personal information. It was a valuable and engaging session that encouraged questions, discussion, and increased confidence in staying safe.

A big thank you to the officers for taking the time to support and educate our community—we truly appreciate your dedication 💙

Today we celebrate the beautiful bond of siblings — the ones who share our stories, our laughter, and a lifetime of memories.

At Riverview Terrace, we’re honoring this special day by sharing heartwarming photos of our residents with their beloved siblings, our staff with their brothers and sisters, and the incredible friendships within our home that have grown into sibling-like bonds 💞 Because family isn’t always just by blood — sometimes it’s the people around us who become our brothers and sisters through care, connection, and love.

🎉 International Fun at Work Day – Staff vs Residents Showdown! 🎉

Last week, we celebrated International Fun at Work Day with an exciting Staff vs Residents battle — and what a fun-filled day it was! 🎭🎶

We got creative with a “Guess the Movie” game by acting out scenes — some truly Oscar-worthy performances! 😄 We also played “Guess the Song,” bringing back wonderful memories and lots of laughter along the way.

The friendly competition kept everyone engaged… and while both teams gave it their all, the real win was the joy, connection, and smiles shared throughout the day. 💙

Puppy Day brought so much joy to our home! 🐾💛

Our team shared adorable photos of their own pups, spreading smiles all around. The highlight of the day was a special visit from a beautiful (and very big!) puppy named Raven, brought in by one of our wonderful volunteers.

Residents absolutely loved the visit—there were plenty of cuddles and happy moments that truly brightened everyone’s day. It was a heartwarming experience that reminded us just how special the bond between people and animals can be.

🍀 A Lucky & Lively St. Patrick’s Day 🍀

Our St. Patrick’s Day celebration was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of Irish cheer! With the wonderful sounds of Sonny Sinclair filling the lobby, residents gathered to sing along, tap their feet, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the day was our delicious shamrock shakes—topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a drizzle of caramel—such a fun and tasty treat! Paired with great snacks and even better company, it made for a truly memorable celebration.

From festive outfits to smiling faces, the spirit of the day was felt all around. 💚
