I’m Shaelyn Elliott, and I own Stretch Fairy Wellness Co in Bridgewater, NS. We have two discrete locations within HB Studios Sports Centre on Glen Allan Drive, currently offering Massage Therapy & movement classes including barre, Pilates, strength & stretch. We’ve continued to grow over the last decade & I’ve felt so supported by this community as I’ve moved through trial and error in figuring out how to best serve you all. 🪽
As much as the Stretch Fairy journey supports me, it’s always been my intention for it to support you with luxury massage therapy services and affordable classes so that you can integrate healing into your every day life.
As we’re heading into our ten year celebration next month, and get ready to bring in some new practitioners, I’d really love your input:
🌸What would make you feel comfortable trying a barre, Pilates or stretch class for the first time?
🌸If you’ve taken boutique fitness movement before, what made you want to come back, or not come back?
🌸What days/times work best for you to come to class? What about massage?
🌸If you had the option to have a monthly massage included in a top tier membership each month, would you utilize this?
🌸is there a practitioner or workshop provider you think would add some magic to our already existing community?
🌸What massage therapy modalities are you interested in adding to your health routine?
I'd love to hear what lives in your mind as it helps us continue to grow Stretch Fairy in a way that gets to serve us all together.
If you’ve been curious about joining the movement here, feel free to reach out any time. 🪽
If you’ve been waiting to try our classes at Stretch Fairy, we have an incredible May campaign in store to celebrate a decade of movement and healing.. stay tuned 🤍

Barre workouts are one of the things we’re known for here at Stretch Fairy. 🩰✨🪽
A low impact movement combining Pilates, strength with weights, dance postures, yoga stretching & sweaty movements. We often use props such as ballet barres, resistance bands, yoga blocks and sliders to switch up variations and tempo and always offer progressional layers so you can spice it up or cool it down as needed🩷
My favourite part about barre is the movements I teach relate back to my years of competitive figure skating, but also offer so much progression, and many feel familiar to a gym style workout (especially if you up your weights) but in our women only classes 🩷
Join us for barre ~ Tuesday evenings at 5:30 & Fridays at 12pm, and Stretch & Sculpt which prioritizes more flexibility than strength Thursdays at 6:30pm🩰

We are excited to welcome Janice Zubin to our studio space at the end of the month for a 4 day cranio sacral therapy training.
Erika and I did this training back in October at River Roots here in town and absolutely loved it. Janice is expecting larger numbers this time around, so we’ll be turning our downstairs movement studio into a classroom style learning centre for this intensive weekend 🩷
If you would like to sign up for level one or level 1 & 2, feel free to reach out, and we can put you in touch with Janice to register.

As we head into 10 YEARS of Stretch Fairy next month, I wanted to take some time to share a bit about what we have on the go these days, and the direction that we’ll continue to move in.
Over the last decade, the systems that I’ve come to prioritize are ones they spend very little time teaching us about in school. Muscles are not the first thing I look at. Instead, I move towards:
🪽The nervous system ~ at a cellular level & how our movement, mental heath, pain perception and holding patterns are affected.
🪽Your fascia tissue ~ the glue that holds your body together, responsible for compartmentalizing muscles from organs and other structures. Where your feelings of ‘stiffness’ likely come from.
🪽Your lymphatic tissue ~ responsible for swelling, defending against infection and fat absorption. When your fascia is restricted, chances are your lymphatic system will be sluggish as well.
The fascinating thing about these systems is they don’t need much ‘influence,’ for change. Gentle suggestions to the body tend to go way further than pushing to the point of pain.
When these three systems are working well, I notice such a difference in a clients mental health and pain management, which is why I’ve begun formulating methods to pass these learnings onto other massage therapists and body workers. The work really is next level 🩷
What I’ve also noticed, is that clients who have the best results, are the ones who are integrating low impact movement on a regular basis to continue to have a positive impact on these symptoms. They don’t recover by accident. They create routine for regulation.
That’s why we expanded and created the movement studio. A place for you to learn from therapists with a medical and fitness background. A place to heal in community and a place to really integrate so the work from your hands on appointments stretches further. Think of it as the place to build strength, mobility, and confidence in a place that bridges the gap between rehabilitation and getting your spark back.
In treatment, we provide a variety of registered massage therapy services including:
🧖🏽♀️ facial massage,
🧖🏽♀️ cranio sacral therapy
🧖🏽♀️ fascial stretch therapy & clinica flexibility
🧖🏽♀️ thai massage
Or a hybrid method.
In the studio our low impact movement options consist of:
🩰 mat pilates,
🩰 barre,
🩰 Zumba inspired workouts
🩰 our signature stretch fairy method group stretch therapy.
The movements prioritized are ones I’ve been doing for over 25 years with a past career in competitive figure skating. Movements that work, that actually help the body recover and what keep me flexible and feeling 18 as I near 30.
If you’ve tried everything and you’re ready to really learn about your body, and all the opportunities you have to take matters into your own hands, we’d love to have you as a client at the Studio, and to support you through movement and therapeutic touch as you move through life.
Comment below or send a direct message to reserve a time as not all are available online.
Open to new and existing clients 🩷

There’s a little girl that lives inside of all of us
Although we may be 25, 30 or 50, we were once 3,5,7,11 & so on and so forth.
All of these ages and lived experiences had a purpose, and our younger years are often are greatest source of inspiration.
When I look back at my childhood, I was so fortunate to be around like minded women through figure skating. Although all different levels, body types, and ages, the one common ground was that we loved the movement. For a few hours per day, nothing else mattered.
Flash forward to being in the final month before my 30th birthday, I find myself sitting in the same energy.
For a few hours a week, the same group of women:
Get together to move in ways that feel good, a few times a week
They share this proximity of closeness and see each other more than they see most family members
They listen
They share stories
They speak up on the days when they aren’t feeling like themselves because they know it’s safe to do so.
& through the process of continuing to sweat, stretch and move, some really exciting things get to happen.
They slow down and breathe regularly
They live life with a clear mind
They notice physical changes in their body - due to consistency but also allowing movement and breath through their core.
Their confidence begins to flourish
People on the outside begin to notice
& all that really happened was the moment she decided to take a chance on being held in the way she creates space for others.
Her world changed.
In 2026, the reality is that there is more happening than our bloodline prepared us for. Everything is vibrating on stress.
Vibration = frequency
& frequency rises in larger quantities.
At Stretch Fairy, we’re creating spaces for frequency of love, acceptance, expansion & so much compassion.
It ripples,
So whatever stage of life you’re currently living through, whatever you may have going on, you don’t have to face it alone.
This is your permission slip to allow the things you’re moving through to move through you.
Xx,

This one’s for the anti crash outs 🩷
What self soothing tools do you have for anxiety, stress & overwhelm? Out of all of the things I’ve tried, this method is pretty much fool proof (& there are plenty more where this came from)
You can disguise this so easily during a work meeting, waiting at a red light, on your next flight, in a crowded room etc.
Find the space right behind your jaw line and massage as long as you need.
Notice what happens to your breath, your mind, & your tummy
Let your jaw hang loose here & inhale through your nose and out through your mouth
If you feel a choking sensation, that tells us your body is running on over drive . We can help 🤍

Shaelyn Eliott is a Registered Massage Therapist, Fascial Stretch Therapist, and is currently studying to become a Certified Nutrition Coach. Shaelyn graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy 2200 hour two year diploma program in May of 2016. As a former national level figure skater, Shaelyn has a very unique understanding of mobility and injuries, and has had a driven mindset from a very young age.
“I feel that I have a very unique approach to treatments. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is seeing the reaction on someones face when they get up off the table and you can tell that they immediately feel some relief. It’s such an incredible feeling to have the ability to help guide someone in the direction of reaching their physical goals.”
Shaelyn treats people of all kinds, but finds she has the most success working with athletes, as well as those struggling with their mobility patterns.
“My passion in this field is undeniably the fact that I get to work with athletes of all ages in such a wide variety of sports. I work weekly with the same group of figure skaters and dancers, as advanced flexibility is something that is so crucial to their sport. Flexibility is something that I have always excelled in, so having the ability to share my knowledge on how to achieve these skills safely with the younger generations always brings a smile to my face.”
Therapeutic massage, billable through most medical insurance companies is just one of the treatments Shaelyn offers.
“I recently became one of twenty one Fascial Stretch Therapists currently practicing in Nova Scotia. Fascial Stretch Therapy is a manual stretching technique that targets not only the muscles, but the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones and joints. It’s really quite incredible. I’ve never had anyone not notice a difference in their mobility and flexibility after a session.”
Shaelyn is currently working in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia and will soon be offering treatments in Halifax as well. She currently takes new clients in Bridgewater on Wednesday’s at the Halotherapy Salt Spa on King Street.
“I love to have fun with this job. I’ve branched off from the ‘traditional massage’ aspect a bit. I incorporate lots of manual stretching into my treatments, and teach therapeutic stretching classes, open to the public as well. It’s so important to educate people, and give them the tools to heal themselves.”
Whats next for Shaelyn?
“I will be adding a third location in Halifax to my business. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and it feels like the right time to do it. I just want to make a difference to as many people as possible, and this gives me the ability to grow in a new way. This fall, I will be studying nutrition, and I hope it will be a great aspect to my brand.”
