We are super excited to be apart of this intergenerational initiative! 😊

Young creators in Lunenburg County are taking their podcast mics into Bridgewater nursing homes to spark engaging intergenerational conversations. Thanks to a $1,600 wellness grant, YMCA youth (ages 13–18) are spending one night a week chatting with residents at Hillside Pines and Shannex.

The idea is to capture stories of wisdom and even some unexpected moments of connection for Season 3 of their Through the Generations podcasts.

“Both groups kind of feel society puts limits on them and this project lets them push past those labels together.”
