Lunenburg County Home Support is a not for profit government funded agency that is contracted by South Shore District Health Authority to provide home support services to residents of Lunenburg County. These services include personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, respite and palliative care services. Services are provided by qualified Home Support Workers in the client's home.

40 hours weekly + on-call

Responsibilities:
• Assignment and scheduling of Home Support Workers
• Telephone communications with care coordinators, staff and clients
• Rotational On-call
• Verification of hours of service

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Education
• Excellent computer skills
• Knowledge of Computer programs, data entry and mobile phones
• Willingness to learn scheduling program (Alayacare)
• Prior scheduling experience is preferable
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team
• Able to work in a busy and noisy work environment
Hours of work are 7am – 3.30 Mon – Fri + rotational on-call

This position is non-unionized.

We are hiring CCA's for Home Support in beautiful Lunenburg and Queens Counties.

Applicants must have a provincial certificate from the Continuing Care Assistant Program or have grandfathered PCW, HSW or HHA certification.

Home support offers a varied and rewarding role where you will get to assist your clients with their independence enabling them to stay in their own homes for longer!

What we offer:

Provincial CCA rate (minimum of $23.57p/h)
Health and Dental Benefits
Flexible schedules
NSHEPP Pension matched by Employer+ an additional 1.4%
Mileage compensated at pgr (currently $0.5932 per km)
Time and mileage paid to travel between clients.
Paid vacation starting at 3 weeks
Company cell phone
Additional premiums paid after 6pm and on weekends
No mandated shifts
24/7 supervisor support
Compensation for cancelled visits
Recognition program
