Grief changes the air around us.
It arrives quietly or all at once, and nothing fits the way it used to. There is no map for it, no finish line to cross—only a learning to live differently, more tenderly, more honestly.
We invite you to step into that learning at Fells Meadows, for a weekend retreat devoted to grief.
This is a gentle weekend away, held in a landscape that knows how to hold complexity. Fells Meadows is open and grounded—meadows stretching wide, trees that invite stillness, paths made for slow walks and unhurried thoughts. There is space here to breathe, to rest, to be alone without feeling lonely, and to be together without pressure.
Over the course of the weekend, you’ll be guided by two experienced facilitators who understand that grief isn’t something to fix. Through thoughtful conversation, shared reflection, and moments of quiet connection, they will help create a container where your experience is welcome exactly as it is. There will be no agenda for healing, no checklist to complete—only invitations to listen inward, to speak when it feels right, and to recognize yourself in the presence of others.
You’ll eat nourishing food, sleep deeply, and spend time both indoors and outside, letting the rhythm of the land support the rhythm of your own nervous system. Some moments will be communal, others spacious and personal. All of them are designed to foster self-understanding, compassion, and a sense of being accompanied.
Because grief isn’t something we get over.
It’s something we learn to carry.
A new way of being in the world.
If you’re longing for a place where your grief can be acknowledged, honored, and gently explored, Fells Meadows is waiting.
