As a female entrepreneur and the founder of Yoga-Tastic 4 Kids, my vision was never just about building a business.

It was about building something meaningful.

A place where children could learn confidence, mindfulness, and the power of believing in themselves.

But as a mom to a daughter, this day also reminds me of something deeper.

Our daughters are watching us.

They watch how we lead, how we show up, how we handle challenges, and how we continue to grow.

One day you’re kissing your little girl goodnight.

And before you know it, she’s growing into a young woman standing beside you.

International Women’s Day is about celebrating women, but it’s also about the girls who are becoming them.

The next generation who will lead, create, and shape the world in their own way.

Strong girls grow into strong women.

And that is something worth building for.

Pink Shirt Day.

But kindness isn’t just something we wear.

It’s something we practice.

Not just in person.

Behind a screen too.

Because sometimes the words typed from a keyboard can hurt just as much as the ones spoken out loud.

At Yoga-Tastic, we talk a lot about using your voice.

Standing up.

Speaking up.

Knowing your worth.

But we also teach something just as important.

Looking at a situation through another set of eyes.

Asking ourselves…

What might be going on for that person?

Hurt people sometimes hurt people.

Sometimes unkind behaviour comes from a place of feeling unseen, unheard, or unsupported.

And while that never makes it okay —

It helps us respond with strength instead of reaction.

With boundaries instead of bitterness.

With empathy instead of escalation.

You don’t need a pink shirt to choose kindness.

You just need awareness.

And the courage to pause before you post.
