Yet, in Ayurveda, sleep is considered one of the pillars of health, essential for our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. 💤✨

When we embrace the rhythms of nature, we can unlock the power of rejuvenation that restful sleep brings.

Ever had one of those days where your vibe is more “chaotic tornado” than “zen goddess”?

Enter Haldee Doodh (aka Turmeric Golden Milk) - my secret weapon for turning “meh” into “magical” in under 5 minutes.

This creamy, spicy hug in a mug isn’t just a drink, it’s an ancient Ayurveda love letter to your soul, fighting inflammation and whispering “you’ve got this” straight to your cells.

(Psst: Ayurveda wisdom drop - honey is a powerhouse, but only add it at room temperature to keep its magic pure and toxin free. No heat guilt here!

Who’s ready to brew some inner peace ? ☕️✨

Quick recipe (Because Easy Wins are the Best Wins)

1. Pour 1 cup of your fave milk (almond, oat, dairy - whatever warms your heart) into a pot and bring to a gentle boil.

2. Stir in ½ tsp fresh ground ginger ( for that fiery zing), ½ tsp ground turmeric (the golden hero) and a pinch of black pepper (unlocks the magic) and optional ½ teaspoon ashwagandha (stress- busting bonus!)

3. Let it simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and once cool enough add a swirl of honey and top with a pinch of saffron threads plus a dash of nutmeg or cinnamon for extra cozy vibes.

Sip slow.

I still remember the first time I heard it at the California College of Ayurveda’s 30th anniversary celebration.

The moments the strings were plucked, I felt as if I was transported to the heart of West Africa, where the stories of generations are woven into each note.

The kora, with its 21 strings, is not just an instrument, it’s a bridge connecting us to the rich cultural heritage of Senegal, Gambia and Mali.

Kora music embodies the essence of storytelling, preserving the histories and traditions of the people.

As melodies danced through the air, I felt a profound sense of calm wash over me. It reminded me of the power of music to heal and unite us, transcending geographical boundaries and cultural differences.

Just like Ayurveda, which teaches us to find balance and harmony within ourselves, Kora music invites us to pause and reflect, to listen and connect with our roots.

From humble beginnings in Dr. Marc Halpern's garage to becoming a beacon of Ayurvedic education, this institution has transformed countless lives. It’s a testament to the power of dedication, passion, and the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda. 🌱

As an alumni speaker, I had the privilege to reflect on the profound impact this college has had on my life and the lives of many others. Meeting my mentors, the pioneers who paved the way for Ayurveda in the USA, filled me with immense joy and gratitude. Their teachings continue to inspire us to embrace holistic wellness and spread the message of Ayurveda far and wide. 🧘‍♀️✨

This celebration was not just about the past, but also about the future, especially with the recent merger with the Hindu University of America.
