Well, hello again!
It's been a minute. And a pandemic. And a mat leave.
I might as well re-introduce myself. I'm Robyn. I have a small physiotherapy practice in Burlington, called Ebb + Flow Wellness . I have advanced training in pelvic health, and I'm a physio-doula and yoga teacher.

I feel so grateful to share my practice with two incredible physiotherapists. Steph DiPoce, .steph, is caring for my practice while I'm on mat leave. She is a pelvic health physio, a yoga teacher, and a doula. Jenny Telfer-Crum , provides pelvic health physiotherapy and pessary care for active and athletic folks.

Since having my first child in 2017, I've been slowly learning and nurturing my passion for understanding trauma and stress and their impacts on us. I have found that taking a compassionate look at this is life-changing; both personally and for my practice.
I hope to use this space to provide information and education around this topic.

That being said, I'm setting myself some ground rules. Through the stress of the pandemic, it became obvious to me how unhealthy social media was becoming for my own health. It seems to suck me in and I can scroll away hours of my day. This is not what I value most. I want to provide some benefit here while also maintaining boundaries for balance in my life.

My posts will not have comments on. If you any important questions or concerns, I would be happy to answer them by email at robyn@yourebbandflow.com.

I am so grateful and humbled to have you here with me. I hope you feel seen and supported

STRESS + PAIN + PELVIC HEALTH

We are animals.

Just like this fierce, protective, playful, and powerful bear, if our nervous system is healthy, it can move through so many states in a short time.

In some cases and for many different reasons, we can get stuck in a stressed state for a long time. Our body reacts like an animal in survival mode.

This is where pain and pelvic health come in. They are intimately connected to our experience of stress and they function to HELP US survive. Though it may not always feel like it, pain and changes in our pelvic health are often what happens when our body is trying it's best to protect and care for us.

Our body needs help to move into a safer state.

Please join me and and of to learn more about how stress, pain, and pelvic health are connected and what you can do to help your body function in an ideal way.

EARTH DAY ⁣

I wish we could value the Earth everyday, like we do today. ⁣

I was inspired by to purchase some seeds from . I'm hoping that planting some local native plants and some veggies will help me to connect with nature in these times. ⁣

I'm hoping it will also be a small step to help our Earth in these times. ⁣

We can have such a mutually beneficial relationship with our Earth if we can only take the time to value it. ⁣

Maybe a lot of the stress we experience in our lives is related to a lot of the same stresses our Earth has. Too much 'stuff'. A long commute. Travel for work. An emphasis on convenience instead of quality. Too much time being busy and not enough time slowing down and enjoying nature. ⁣

I am grateful for the peace and calm that the Earth brings me. And for her incredible patience with us humans.
