“The best way to learn if someone has suicidal thoughts is to ask. I often meet people who are afraid to pose the question. They fear giving someone the idea to die by su***de. But research consistently indicates that asking about suicidal thoughts doesn’t trigger or worsen suicidal thoughts.”

They also don’t “have” to eat at the table either . Try to make this season fun for everyone if you can.
Accommodations are OK and do not mean you have failed as a parent.
My little ADHD’r is going to sit at the table with a book or an iPad and that’s ok. It’s not worth the fight …
Be gentle with yourself . It’s supposed to be fun.

Our Story

At Child and Family Pathways, we believe that every parent wants the best for their children, they just may have run out of ideas. Mental Health is no joke. It makes things hard, it makes kids behave in way’s we don’t always understand, It makes kids ashamed of themselves and worried about their future. This is not a fun situation to be in. It steals the joy away from being a kid, and from parenting.

Devin has worked with countless Families, Doctors, and Teachers. Devin works with Trauma, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Anxiety.

Devin Specilizes in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and The Prevention and Managment of Aggressive Behaviour. Devin is an excellent advocate and will provide the most up to date strategies to support your child.

Devin also works with the parents of younger children an teaches positive parenting strategies that promote mental wellness and supports strong attachment in your toddlers.
