This Giving Tuesday, I’m proud to support HIEC’s call to Give Time by inviting my network to volunteer with the Ontario Career Lab as a Career Coach. HIEC, through the Ontario Career Lab, delivers the Career Conversations program, which brings these meaningful sessions directly into classrooms across Ontario.

I was at a local high school this morning where I could share about my career journey and hear a bit about what 3 groups of grade 10 students are wrestling with regarding their future.

Many young people are uncertain about their future pathways — and even a single Career Conversation can make a meaningful difference. With helpful materials provided, all you need to do is share your career journey and help students explore what’s possible.

If you’ve ever had someone guide or encourage you along the way, this is a chance to pay it forward.

Bill C-59 received royal assent on June 20, which means psychotherapy and counselling services will no longer be charged HST/GST across Canada!

First Nations youth have a higher prevalence of mental health issues than in non-indigenous youth, and were less likely to access support.
