So...this is 40!🎂
Each birthday has become a personal new year for me. A time to reflect and set new intentions for what I would like to usher in. And this year in particular felt like a new beginning like never before.

Walking over the threshold of a new decade, I feel propelled forward by the experiences that have lead me to this very moment. It feels like a true brand new chapter. Perhaps even, the closing of one book and the beginning of a new one altogether.

Each new year is an exercise in self-compassion. Honouring change in all it forms even when that is difficult 🫠A work in progress, trying to feel more aligned with the rhythms I encourage in others: rest, renewal, gentleness with self🤍

I'm so grateful for the lessons, the souls I've encountered, and the light that continues to unfold🌙✨

Even though I tell my patients this all the time, I often need the reminder. It's easy to get carried away in the day-to-day rush...and the perceived need to do more instead of less when it comes to our health.

So, here's the reminder: You’re allowed to slow down, especially when your body is asking for rest.

Your worth isn’t defined by your productivity, your to-do list, or how much you can handle. To me, we should be more concerned about how deeply we care for ourselves.

In naturopathic and holistic medicine, rest isn’t weakness — it’s one of the most powerful tools for healing your nervous system, optimizing hormone function, and supporting mental health.

Slow is restorative.
Slow is healing.
