Osteopathy For Wellness

Osteopathy For Wellness Osteopathic manual therapy in Burlington, Ontario. Seeking the ROOT cause of PAIN and dysfunction.

Osteopathy is a manual form of therapy which seeks to get to the root cause of pain and dysfunction rather than to simply treat a patient’s symptoms. It is a gentle approach to restoring proper body mechanics to improve overall health. Osteopathic manual therapy is based on the principles that the body is a dynamic unit, the body is self-healing and self-regulating, and that the structure and function of the body are reciprocally interrelated. The patient visit involves the assessment and treatment of motion restrictions and somatic dysfunction with the goal of relieving pain/discomfort, improve motion capabilities, and to encourage the body’s innate ability to heal.

Osteopathic Manual Therapy

Kimberley Minard is an Osteopathic Manual Therapist practicing at Burlington Osteopaths. The practitioners at Burlington Osteopaths are members in good standing with the Ontario Osteopathic Association, have completed a rigorous 4-year program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and have met the highest standards of supervised clinical training.

As an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Kimberley uses manual therapy to get to the root cause of pain and dysfunction rather than to simply treat a patient’s symptoms. This leads to improved overall health.

Osteopathic manual therapy encourages the body’s innate ability to heal and is a form of preventative healthcare. The patient visit involves the assessment and treatment of motion restrictions and somatic dysfunction with the goal of relieving pain/discomfort, improving motion capabilities and to encouraging the body’s innate ability to heal.
