Happy New Year! Our office opens tomorrow morning, January 4th, at 8 am with regular hours. We are not affected by the current lockdown and have taken every precaution to make your visit as safe as possible. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

The first few days of opening have gone very smoothly. This wasn't by chance. Thanks to a lot of training and effort, our team is doing a wonderful job.

We are very proud of our team that has worked very hard over the past few weeks and they are all excited to be seeing patients again, as am I.

Thank you to all of the patients who have already reached out looking for appointment times - again we endeavour to connect with each and every one of you within the next two weeks. Our new schedule has fewer spots, so that we are always keeping the spacing apart that is required. Please understand that we will do our best to meet your needs, your desired appointment time, and your desired frequency of care - we continue to appreciate your patience as we implement the changes.

We continue to learn, just like everyone; therefore your patience is greatly appreciated at this time.

This week will also mark the reintroduction of more services to the office. Our massage therapists and physiotherapists will begin seeing patients and we are excited to introduce our new Naturopath Dr. Maisam who will also begin seeing patients this week.

A couple of housekeeping rules to review:

1. All massage therapy patients will need to wear a mask for their visit. This is mandated by the College of Massage Therapy.

2. Please continue to call the office upon arriving for your appointment and you will be screened for COVID-19 prior to entering.

3. Absolutely NO VISITORS are allowed in the office at this time. We apologize for this but unless you have an appointment you cannot enter the office.

Our team has been working diligently on enhancing safety protocols to protect the well-being of our patients, team-members and families.
Our added safety protocols to combat COVID-19 include:
All staff will be screened daily for symptoms of COVID-19.
All practitioners will be following their respective college's directives regarding safety protocols.
Each of our practitioners will be wearing masks and sanitizing hands before and after every patient.
At reception, we have installed plexi-glass shields.
Each of our rooms have hand sanitizer stations readily available for staff and patients to use.
We have removed all reading material, decorative pillows, blankets and refreshments from our waiting room as well as in treatment rooms.
All treatment tables are fully sanitized using medical grade disinfectant, and table paper changed after each patient.
All chairs and table tops in the waiting room, as well as in treatment rooms, are wiped down regularly including counters, phones, keyboards and door handles. Our credit/debit card terminal will be disinfected after each use and we encourage touchless options for payment.
For the duration of the pandemic, we are offering a specific adjusting room to all our immune compromised and senior patients.
We are not taking ANY walk-in patients at this time, and NOT allowing visitors to accompany any patients.
The Healing Path is committed to the safety of our patients and staff and are ensuring proper distancing between all practitioners, patients and staff. In doing this, we are changing traffic flow in our office. We will ask any patient with COVID-19 symptoms to stay home.
Upon arrival for your appointment, please call us at 905-333-9900 from your car to check-in and we will let you know if it's time to enter the clinic based on the amount of patients currently in the clinic. Every patient entering will undergo COVID-19 screening and be required to sanitize their hands.
Additional safety protocols will continue to be respected by our entire team and any further adjustments will be made to manage traffic flow and allow for physical distancing.
While we continue learning these new systems, we request your patience and understanding while we work through these new systems to keep you and our team healthy and safe. Lastly, we will be recalling every active patient in the coming weeks. Dear Patients,

Our regulatory college updated that we are an essential service and are currently available for emergency care only.

Emergency care has been redefined, as of last night, as the following:

"Care for patients experiencing a sudden and debilitating change in functional abilities (understood as walking, standing, sitting, lifting floor-to-waist or waist-to-shoulder, stair climbing, ladder climbing) or significant restrictions (experienced during bending/twisting, repetitive movement, pushing/pulling with right/left arm) as well as injury to head/neck/back and extremities. Treatment aimed at alleviating significant pain, understood as pain that is incapacitating for the patient and interferes with their ability to carry out normal functioning."
