Incredible! From the number of alumni who turned out to help to the number persons we were able to help, what a success! We gave away hundreds of essentials including toques, pies, drinks, candy, and hygiene products. We would like to thank each and every individual who donated to our event, we truly could not have done any of this without you! A special thank you to alumnus Hali and Mark G. and friend of Into Action Lana M. for their key contributions.
Our next event is planned for around the holidays, when the need will be even greater. An announcement on this will be made shortly.

Huge congratulations to our founder and Executive Director Chris B. on 14 years of continuous sobriety! In his own words, “people have all sorts of opinions on what role a treatment center plays in people’s recovery. For myself, it was, without question, the most important thing I did in my entire life. To go from hopeless , homeless, sick and dying one day, to 60 days later being happy, hope filled and excited for the future, is nothing short of a miracle. I will forever credit everything I have in my life today to walking in the doors of InnerVisions Recovery Society. They picked me up, put me back together. They didn’t just teach me how to stay sober, they showed me how to be a man. My dream has and always will be to re-create what they did for me, for other people. My father was not a religious man, but when I was about a year sober, we went for lunch and as I was driving away in a car, that I owned, he looked at my sister and said ‘it’s a bloody miracle.’
A few words of advise that I see save lives all the time:
Go to treatment, DON’T leave early, and always carry naloxone”

Congratulations to our longtime Alumni meeting secretary and friend of Into Action, Ryan U., on 6 years of continuous sobriety! Ryan struggled with substance use for many years before, in desperation, he called us for help. After graduating our program, Ryan continued on to live with us in one of our sober living residences. It was there, that he began building his life back up; when he was ready, he moved out. Today, Ryan lives with his loving partner and their happy son; he still practices everything that we taught him and his future has never looked brighter. Keep up the great work Ryan! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Nahema B. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Nahema simply could not stop using substances and the consequences of using grew to greater and greater magnitudes. At one of our locations, he learned of a simple program of action and things began to improve. Negative consequences have since ceased and he has rebuilt much of what he lost over the years. His family could not be more proud and neither could we! Keep up the great work Nahema!

Here, we provide him with all the tools to change his life; and he did just that! Today, Charlie is in a happy, committed relationship, has a fulfilling career, and supports a great many men through his recovery-based work. Keep up the fantastic work Charlie! Congratulations to Tyler F. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Tyler lost a lot on his journey before coming to our doors. After many years of substance use (and its associated carnage), even Tyler’s family had begun distancing themselves. At one of our locations, Tyler began to turn everything around and start living a new way. Even a year later, Tyler continues to be as passionate about his recovery as he was on day one! One day, he felt ready for a new way of living and reached out to us for help. Our staff carefully guided him through the work, teaching him all that was required. Congratulations to Jason P. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Jason has been like family to us for many years. When he found himself struggling a year ago, he called us. Here, we guided him back to the right path; the transformation since, has been nothing short of miraculous! Indeed, using his extensive experience and expertise, Jason has helped countless men just like himself recover.
