Congratulations to Elijah V. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Dropped off by his father one cold February day, Elijah's life began to change at our location. With us, he learned of a simple program, a way to live life happy, joyous, and free from addiction. This February, Elijah celebrates his milestone year with his family and friends; his life and outlook transformed. Keep up the great work Elijah! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Jarred M. on 4 years of continuous sobriety! Jarred was struggling substances and called us for help; his life was unmanageable and he needed help. Here, we showed him exactly what we ourselves do on a daily basis. After graduating, Jarred moved back home and brought with him what he learned; he's since helped many other men recover like himself. Keep up the great work Jarred! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Keegan N. on 2 years of continuous sobriety! Keegan came to us after years of struggling with substances. In our rooms, he learned of a simple program of action; he's followed that program each day since. The results have been nothing short of miraculous. Just this past year, Keegan and his fiancé welcomed a healthy baby boy. Now, a new father, loving partner, and present son, Keegan couldn't be happier and we couldn't be prouder! Keep up the great work Keegan!

Congratulations to Ryan H. on 3 years of continuous sobriety! Ryan came to us 3 years ago after being referred by another Alumni. He was in another province at another program but needed something more. Here, he was shown a simple program of action and has followed that each day since. To this day, Ryan still comes around and helps others all the time. Keep up the great work Ryan. We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Jake M. on 3 years of continuous sobriety! Jake called us after struggling with different program; we gave him another chance. With us, he enthusiastically applied himself each day; taking our suggestions and growing as a result. He later returned to his family, his greatest supporters, a changed man. Today, he lives a completely different life, being present and available for his family each and every day. Keep up the great work Jake! We are all very proud of you.

Congratulations to Shaun D. on 5 years of continuous sobriety! When Shaun sat in our rooms listening to our staff, having even one year of sobriety seemed far fetched. Yet, thanks to his hard work and dedication to following what we showed him; today, he celebrates five years! Today, Shaun's family couldn't be more proud of him; especially his wife and two young daughters! Keep up the great work Shaun.

Congratulations to Tyler B. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Tyler tried recovery before but eventually fell off the path; he had to struggle for many more years before getting help again. Tyler eventually completed our program and moved on when he was ready. Yet, he always remembered to stay connected; even with a great many days under his belt, he still comes to our Alumni Meeting often. Keep up the great work Tyler! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Alex P. on 3 years of continuous sobriety! Alex was brought to our location by another alumni Brandon W., himself with multiple years clean and sober now. When Alex arrived he was desperate, he couldn't continue living as he had been. His family was likewise desperate to get him back. Thanks to his dedication to following what we showed him, he transformed. In the years since his graduation, Alex's family got him back, he got married, he's travelled the world, and is now happier than ever! Keep up the great work Alex! We are all very proud of you!

Congratulations to Daniel C. on 1 year of continuous sobriety! Daniel came to us at a true low point in his life; he'd tried other things but nothing worked and he needed to change. Since his first day, he's never shied away from doing the work. After graduation, he eagerly volunteered with us and found a passion for helping others. Since then, he's gone to school and is well on his way to a career in this field. Keep up the great work Daniel! We are all very proud of you!

And that's a wrap on our 9th outreach event! Huge thank you to all of our donors, community partners, and volunteers! A special shout out to Alumni Hali and his team with DTES Emergency Supply Hub for all their crucial support! And another special shout out to Jeff S. for performing a traditional Haida song for the event and Dion W. for leading us in a smudge. Thanks to each and every individual contribution, we managed to give away thousands of items and spread some hope this chilly January. Until next month!
