the difference between a flower and a w**d is a judgment 🤍

2020 has been a strange and stressful year full of change and suffering and the loss of a reality some of which we may never be able to reclaim or recreate. It is safe to say that we’re all tired of being denied the movement and interaction that we crave and that we so desperately need in order to live happy and heathy lives. Hang in there and repeat after me:

This too shall pass

This too shall pass

This too shall pass

Until then let’s reflect for a moment on all the hidden blessings that this pandemic has gifted to us, here’s just a few.

self care rituals don’t have to be expensive or time consuming to make a positive impact on your life

start small by finding a few all natural, high quality products that are preferable earth 🌍 and animal 🐰friendly to incorporate into your daily hygiene practices

a warm bath, a hydrating face serum, nourishing essential oils, a little self massage with a delightful lotion that smells divine and makes you pause for a moment and smile ...

these things matter and they make all the difference in your overall mood and energy levels

Let’s talk home practice!

Now it isn’t always possible to create the perfect space in your home for a yoga practice, but perfect isn't necessarily the goal. So forget perfection, and instead strive to make it personal!

Here are some tips to help you do so:

Placement: find an area in your home where you can comfortably place your yoga mat, allowing for a 2-3 feet of space on all sides, this will allow you the freedom to move on your mat without restriction

Remove: where possible work to clear all unnecessary obstacles and clutter from your new zen space, a clear space will promote a clear mind and allow for easy, unobstructed movement

Personalize: find a few items that make you smile and add them to your space: a houseplant 🎋 a special picture 🌅 a gift you received from someone you love ❤️, crystals 📿, pets 😽, or chocolate 🍩... you name it, if it makes you smile invite it in 😊

Acceptance: remember, practicing at home isn't always easy, but with the right attitude we can make it worthwhile. Try to keep an open mind and heart, welcoming into your space all that may enter: sounds, smells, small children, noisy roommates, or curious pets ... allow them to add to the wonder of your experience
