Our Story

Welcome to Mission Eye Care - it all started in 2005, with a vision to become Calgary’s centre of excellence in medical eye care. With a central location in one of Calgary’s largest and most historic community medical centers and easy parking, it was the ideal place to build a one-stop shop for all things eye care and eyewear. We have since grown to 3 times the size and achieved that original vision! We are a highly respected 4 doctor optometry practice with special interest in eye disease management, dry eye treatment, and myopia control.

Our practice founder Dr. Ahmed has over 20 years experience in eye disease management, and Dr. Lasby and Dr. Morrison are the only 2 optometrists in Alberta residency trained in specialty contact lenses and corneal disease. We continually receive a high number of doctor referrals but we also gladly welcome new patients. We pride ourselves on providing the latest treatments and continually reinvesting in the latest equipment.

In addition, we have over 1500 unique eyewear and sunwear pieces in our spacious gallery and carry over 10,000 contact lenses in stock to meet the needs of almost all patients.
