Happy Psychology Month! 🎉

February is a time to celebrate psychology and the ways it helps us understand ourselves, manage challenges, and grow. Whether you’re curious about therapy, mental wellness, or just looking for small ways to support your wellbeing, this month is a great reminder to prioritize your mental health.

Let’s take a moment to recognize the importance of mental health for everyone.

Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions and that’s completely normal.

A consultation call is a brief, no-pressure conversation with a therapist where you can ask questions, talk about what you’re looking for support with, and see if it feels like a good fit. There’s no obligation to book a session, it’s simply a first step to help you make an informed decision.

If you’re curious about therapy but unsure where to start, a consultation call can help.

You don’t need to wait until you’re at your breaking point to care for your mental health.

A Mental Health First Aid Kit includes small, practical tools—like grounding, breathing, self-compassion, and connection—that can help you navigate difficult moments with more steadiness and care.

Save this post as a reminder: support doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.

Most New Year’s resolutions don’t fail because of laziness. They fail because motivation fades and habits haven’t formed yet.

Psychology shows that lasting change isn’t about willpower or perfection.
It’s about building systems, lowering the barrier to start, and staying consistent even when motivation drops.

Small actions, repeated often, shape who we become.

The holidays can be a mix of emotions, and it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed at times. Taking care of yourself, slowing down when you need to, and staying mindful of your limits can help you move through the season with more ease. And remember, support is always available if things feel heavy.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but your first session is really just a calm, supportive conversation. You set the pace, you share what feels comfortable, and together you and your therapist begin building a plan that feels right for you.

If you’re ready to take that first step, we’re here to walk with you.

In this month’s book of the month, we’re exploring the uncomfortable yet meaningful role boredom plays in our mental and emotional lives. While it can feel unsettling, boredom invites us to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves beyond constant distraction. It creates space for creativity, insight, and intention, something we often miss in our always-on world.

Better late than never… our updated Meet the Team is here!

We’ve made a few changes, welcomed some new faces, and wanted to take a moment to reintroduce the incredible clinicians who make our practice what it is. Whether you’re new here or have been with us for a while, we’d love for you to get to know the people behind the care.

Research consistently shows that physical activity has profound effects on brain chemistry. Regular exercise boosts mood-regulating neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine, and endorphins. These natural chemicals help improve emotional balance, reduce anxiety and depression, and increase stress resilience. Exercise even promotes neurogenesis, the growth of new brain cells, which plays a key role in long-term mental health.

At our clinic, we recognize that mental wellness is multifaceted. While therapy and (when appropriate) medication are important, we also encourage movement as part of a holistic approach to care. Whether it’s walking, stretching, dancing, or lifting, finding ways to move your body can support your mind in meaningful ways. If you're struggling, know that small steps matter, and we're here to help guide you toward healing, one step at a time.
