It's been a while since I posted! Just wanted to let people know that I have about 5 or 6 bikes here that would make pretty good Christmas gifts for kids that don't have bikes. If you know someone that is trying to find a good bike for their tot, and maybe is on a tight budget, let me know and I will see if I have one here!

Howdy folks!
I am scaling back here for the season. I will be doing end-of-season tune ups on bikes until the end of this month. After that I will only be triaging bikes.... read flat tires, broken chains and emergency repairs.

I haven't posted in a bit, but how about this?
This is young Vova. He received the 900th kids bike given away since I started this big little project in 2020.
As it so happens, Vova and his parents, Galina and Illia are from Ukraine building a life here. That makes it 203 bikes to Ukrainian folks as well!
None of this happens without the support of the communities here in SE Calgary. Auburn Bay, Mahogany, Copperfield, Cranston, McKenzie Towne, New Brighton and many others.
Thank you all for helping raise the floor a little for folks.

NEW BIKE DAY!
Big thanks to Heather for letting me build up this Specialized Sirrus. I think that I can confidently say that she was SUPER excited to get a ride in on this killer machine. It's a street-fighter style hybrid. Full carbon frame and suspension for the handlebars! Fantastic bike Heather.

Hey everyone.
Just a quick shout out to Steve Tunes Bikes over in Legacy. He's another great bike guy that helps get bikes out to people that need them.
He dropped off a bunch of bike tubes that he had overstocked a couple of days ago. This was a really generous gesture and just goes to show what kind of people make up the cycling community.
So if you are West of the river and don't wanna ford the mighty Bow to get to me, Steve's your guy.

Hey all! I know that a lot of people out there are looking to trade up with their kids' bikes. I try to help where I can, but I am only one guy here. I just gave a bunch of bikes to Youth En Route to help with their trade-up program. If you are looking to trade in your youngster's bike for something a bit bigger then check them out this Saturday! Great people empowering kids to ride and appreciate cycling into the future!

I am thinking of bringing back 'The Bike of the Week'. It's been a while, but I think it might be fun. Anyone out there think that their bike is worthy? Judging is arbitrary and guided by my skewed and tilted opinions. There will be no criteria, except that I am a sucker for road bikes (and their hillbilly cousins....time trial bikes). Vintage cruisers and kids bikes that show pride of ownership also get pushed to the front of the line.

Back in the saddle! My first indoor ride 3 months to the day from total hip replacement. Better every day.🏆🚴‍♂️ 😄Still a few weeks away from getting bikes out to people, but things are looking good!
