I believe this is an amazing practice to have so that we may bring the gratitude of others into our own lives.
In our times of difficulty, simply reminding ourselves of these important people can make all the difference in how we start our day.

Six years ago we were getting things in order to create a day of closure and healing for my mother’s life. My mum didn’t want anything after she died, didn’t want a fuss, but I assured her that it wouldn’t be in a stuffy funeral home and that no one would be preaching the gospel the entire time. I had her blessing to go ahead with plans after she passed. Writing her eulogy with my sister we had the tears flowing. Writing our own story about our life with mum was very healing for me. The day came to celebrate her life,and I have to tell you all it was a great day! A day of connecting with others , sharing in the laughter and the stories. Family members that haven’t seen or talked to each other in decades had a safe space to be able to do so. Death is very hard and we all deal with it in different ways. We all grieve in our own way and if you can understand what you need to help heal from your losses it will alllow you to keep on living.
