🎉 Another Fantastic Week at The Scenic Grande! 🎉

Our community has been buzzing with fun and creativity! From lively water polo games that kept everyone laughing, to cozy afternoons sipping warm apple cider, we’re soaking up every moment. 🍎💦

Residents also enjoyed some wonderful entertainment, letting music and smiles fill the room. And our painting sessions brought out amazing creativity—so many beautiful masterpieces! 🎨✨

To top it all off, we ventured out on exciting field trips, making memories and enjoying the world beyond our doors. 🚐💛

On November 11, we came together to remember and honour the brave men and women who have served our country with courage and sacrifice.

At The Scenic Grande, we are especially grateful to the veterans within our community and to all those who fought for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Though Remembrance Day has passed, our gratitude remains every day.
We will always remember. 🌺

Known for her award-winning quilts filled with intricate designs, vibrant colors, and heartfelt stories, Marilyn’s work beautifully blends tradition and innovation.

During her presentation, she showcased her prize-winning pieces and reflected on how quilting has evolved from a necessity into an expressive art form. Her talk celebrated creativity, patience, and the power of handmade artistry - reminding everyone that quilting stitches together not just fabric, but memories, history, and human connection.

That’s a wrap on October at The Scenic Grande — and wow, did we have a spook-tacular time! 👻🎃
From pumpkin painting and costume parties to our fantastic dinners and joyful birthday celebrations, our residents truly made this month one to remember. 🍂🕸️
The laughter, friendship, and sweet treats filled every day with warmth (and maybe a few extra helpings of dessert! 🍰😉).
Here’s to cozy memories, full hearts, and a candy stash that might just last till Christmas! 🍫❤️

At Alta Vista retirement residence, Halloween is all about the community and the spirit of togetherness. This week, the team hosted an Intergenerational Halloween Concert, bringing together residents and local families for a festive afternoon of music and connection. A local musician entertained guests with family-friendly Halloween songs, while children and parents joined residents in dancing and enjoying themed treats. The highlight of the day was the children’s trick-or-treating throughout the residence, which brought smiles and joy to both young and old alike.

On September 24, The Bentley Regina team whipped up some fun with a Milkshakes and Mustaches fundraiser for prostate cancer, and on October 16, they turned the residence pink in support of breast cancer awareness!

Together, this amazing community raised over $1,800 for the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan. These funds will go toward mobile cancer screening right in the province.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these events such a success. What a great way to have fun while supporting a cause that touches so many!

✨👠 Fashion Week has nothing on us! 💃🕺

We just wrapped up an unforgettable Vintage Fashion Show, and WOW — what a day! A huge thank-you to Memory Lane Fashion for putting on a spectacular showcase of style through the decades, from the roaring 1920s to the bold 1980s. 🎩👗

Flapper fringe, swing skirts, go-go boots, and shoulder pads — every era came to life on our runway, and our models absolutely owned it. The energy, the fashion, the nostalgia... it was truly something special.

To everyone who joined us — thank you for making it such a memorable event. Fashion Week’s got nothing on us! 😉

What an unforgettable day at Sharon Corners Retirement Residence!

They were thrilled to welcome East Gwillimbury hometown hero, Sam Bennett of the Florida Panthers, fresh off his Stanley Cup victory. Residents and team members alike were overjoyed to meet Sam, celebrate his incredible achievement, and even get up close with hockey’s most coveted prize.

From sharing behind-the-scenes championship stories to taking photos (and even touching the Cup!), the visit was filled with pride, nostalgia, and pure joy. For many lifelong hockey fans, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

A huge thank you to Sam for bringing not just the Cup, but also his warmth, generosity and community spirit to our home. These memories will be treasured forever.
