Here’s the truth: I didn’t just want to build a clinic. I wanted to build a home.
When I started Exhale Psychology Group, I knew I didn’t want a space where therapists clock in, clock out, and disappear until the next shift. I’d worked in those environments, and I knew how it felt to force yourself into systems that didn’t fit, to do things “because that’s how it’s always been done,” even when it didn’t serve anyone.
I knew there had to be a different way: a warmer, more human way.
So I built the practice I always wished existed.
A place where our therapists actually want to be, not because they have to, but because the energy feels good, the people feel safe, and the work feels meaningful.
A place where we don’t just tolerate each other, we enjoy each other. We hang out outside of work, celebrate wins, and know each other’s kids, partners, fears, and dreams.
A place where the team feels like family, and our clients feel that too. They feel held, known, and cared for in a way that goes beyond checklists.
We’re modern. We’re real.
And if you know me, you know my personal tagline is:
“Do it now, ask questions later” (our Operations & Finance Coordinator is definitely rolling her eyes as she reads this 🙄😜).
I didn’t start Exhale with a perfect business plan. Actually I didn’t have a plan at all.
I started it because my heart told me there was room for something more meaningful, more connected, more aligned with who I am and who we are as a team.
If you’re a woman dreaming of creating something of your own, hear me clearly:
✨You don’t need to do it the traditional way.
✨You don’t need anyone’s permission to make something warmer, gentler, or more you.
✨You don’t need the rulebook if it was never written for you.
✨You just need the courage to say:
“This isn’t enough, and I’m allowed to build better.”
When you trust yourself and build from the heart, you don’t just create a business.
You create a place that actually feels like coming home ✨🫶🏼
