🏒A few big hits and then the final cross check.
This young man is a fighter.
After quite awhile trying to push through discomfort to live life and play hockey, he finally took 1 final bad hit.
A cross check to the side and that was it.
Everything came to a stop.
No more hockey, no more training, and carrying a backpack was even ruled out.
Finally rolling into a school in a wheelchair just to attend classes.
After some physio sessions and a trip to Poland to at Christmas for a 2nd opinion and another MRI he was cleared to start training again.
This young man came back to me in pain, every step, every bend or rotation was uncomfortable.
But we adapt and progress.
He has stuck to the plan over the last 6 weeks, it started out with awareness of his ribcage, pelvis and spine.
As well as exercises to control and own those positions.
And now we are pushing sleds doing Lunges and even getting in 15 min of stairmaster and 15 min of tread several times per week on top of our training session.
This here is what really matters.
Giving life back, giving hope back and showing people they are more capable then they may have thought.
This young man is a beast, he doesn't give up.
He is focused and dedicated to getting back in the ice and having his life back to normal.
And that is why i will.stick by him, every day until we win 🏆
Your a beast my man 👊
