Do you suffer from major depressive disorder? Are you still experiencing depression symptoms despite being on prescribed medications?
Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a serious medical illness associated with significant impacts on work, family and social life. Despite the availability of numerous treatments, achievement of consistent and favorable long-term outcomes remains challenging.
The University of Calgary Clinical Trials Program is looking for volunteers ages 18 to 65, who have been diagnosed with MDD to enroll in an exciting new clinical study. The selected participants will be followed up and evaluated by the psychiatrist every 2 weeks for a total of 8 weeks. During the follow up visits, vital signs will be recorded and some questionnaires will be completed by the participants. In addition, a completed daily log will be expected from the participants.
The selected participants will receive the study medication at no cost and will be reimbursed for study-related expenses.
