Every one asks about how much blood comes from hijama and the more the blood the better healing... but this is not to be true. Many times very little blood will come out and this all depends on the body. The whole back can be cupped but not all cups will be filled with blood and this is normal.

According to a hadeeth narrated by Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“If there is any good in your medical treatments, it is in the knife of the cupper, drinking honey, or cauterization with fire, as appropriate to the cause of the illness, but I would not like to be cauterized.”

Narrated Abu Hurayrah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best medical treatment you apply is cupping.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنْ كَانَ فِي شَىْءٍ مِمَّا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ خَيْرٌ فَالْحِجَامَةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

The prophet (pbuh) said: “The best (treat- ment) which you take is cupping, or it is the best of your treatments.”
"‏ إِنَّ أَفْضَلَ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ الْحِجَامَةُ أَوْ هُوَ مِنْ أَمْثَلِ دَوَائِكُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏
