Hello everyone! It’s me, your favourite caregiver from Favour Home Care 💛
Today, I want to talk to you about something very important — your medications.
How often do you take your medications?
Do you take them exactly as prescribed?
Many of you are living with chronic conditions that can be uncomfortable and sometimes even debilitating. Your medications are there to help you feel better, manage your symptoms, and improve your quality of life. But if you don’t take them regularly or correctly, your condition can worsen — and in some cases, it can even become life-threatening.
So here are a few simple tips to help you stay on track:
⸻
✨ 1. Set Reminders
Use your phone to set alarms for each dose. It removes the stress of having to remember.
⸻
✨ 2. Keep Medications Where You Can Access Them Safely
Yes — keep them away from children and vulnerable adults.
But keep them accessible for YOU:
• Your bathroom cupboard is great if you take meds morning and night.
• Your kitchen shelf works too if that’s where you spend time.
• If you sit by the TV often, keep a small side-table drawer for your meds so you don’t have to get up when it’s time.
⸻
✨ 3. Use Blister Packs from Your Pharmacy
Pharmacies can pre-package your medications by date and time, making it easy to know exactly what to take and when. No confusion, no missed doses.
⸻
✨ 4. Get a Pill Organizer
Dollar stores, pharmacies, and even grocery stores sell pill organizers.
They’re small, cheap, and perfect to keep in your bag if you’re always on the go.
⸻
✨ 5. Ask for Help When You Need It
At Favour Home Care, our caregivers, HCAs, and home-care nurses can help with:
• Medication reminders
• Medication administration (by qualified nurses)
• Organizing your pills
• Monitoring your routine to make sure you stay safe and healthy
You don’t have to do it alone. We’re just a phone call away — ready to support you.
Thank you, and take good care of yourself!
Have a beautiful day. 💛
