Today’s card comes from a deck we have not heard from for almost a year. It steps forward today as it did last June to bring a message of light when we need it most amongst the escalating perceived darkness of the world. The card is from the White Light Oracle by Alana Fairchild. You may remember that this mystical deck was created as a pathway to the realm of the sacred, a place that brings deep love and light to your life, to the soul. We enter this realm through the heart. This deck is in perfect alignment with our ongoing spiritual work to become more heart centred. As we enter this holy Easter weekend celebrated by Christians around the world, I am going to ask you to keep an open mind to a slightly different perspective on these three days. Spirit is asking us to not only reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus but rather on his life. He not only came to earth “to die for us”, he also came, like all of the Ascended Masters, to show us how to live. Chrisitan teachings mark Good Friday as a day of solemn reflection on the suffering and death of Jesus as a sacrifice made for humanity’s sins. Two days later, Easter Sunday celebrates Jesus’ resurrection as a joyous triumph over death and sin. These days were the culmination of his life purpose but what about his journey through his short life? In addition to reverence and gratitude for his ultimate sacrifice, can we also reflect on what this Ascended Master came to teach us? Can we follow the example he set for us throughout his life?
