Twisted an ankle or pulled a muscle and not sure where to go?

Myth: All sprains and strains need urgent care.
Truth: Many mild to moderate sprains and strains can be safely treated at a clinic. If you have pain, swelling, or limited movement but can still move the area and there’s no severe deformity, a family or walk-in clinic is often the right first step.

Myth: You should “wait it out” no matter what.
Truth: You should go to urgent care or ER if there is severe pain, numbness, obvious deformity, heavy swelling, or you cannot move or bear weight at all.
