Our founder, Jessica Villeneuve, has been named one of Avenue Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 for 2025!

If you’ve ever met Jess, you know how deeply she cares about making care accessible for everyone — especially those who are too often overlooked. When she moved to Calgary, she saw a huge gap for families living with chronic pain, disability, and complex health needs. Instead of accepting it, she built Same Stars Wellness to change it.

Her own journey with chronic migraine has shaped the way she leads and the way we care. It’s why our work will always focus on compassion, advocacy, and long-term support — because everyone deserves care that truly meets them where they are.

We couldn’t be prouder to see her recognized for the impact she’s made in our community and across Alberta.

Why Same Stars?

Whether you are a professional athlete, a two month old infant, or a stay at home mom suffering from fibromyalgia, everyone deserves to live a pain-free life. That’s the ideal from which Same Stars was born.

Jessica’s mission as a massage therapist has been to provide relief and comfort to all people in need. She believes that as an ethical practitioner, all clients should be treated with respect, and cared for to her greatest ability.

Her passionate specialization in chronic illness has stemmed from a life-long struggle with migraines, and a family connection to cancer therapies and treatments. She understands pain, and from your initial intake email to your homecare check ins, she makes it her mission to create a a thorough treatment plan to help you reach yours goals.

When Jessica is not treating and educating the public on healthcare, she loves to dedicate her time to volunteer positions, spreading therapeutic touch to those in need. She has implemented massage therapy access to Alberta Rehabilitation Services, as well as the Ronald McDonald House here in Calgary.
