This phase can feel really confusing.

One minute you feel fine, and the next your digestion is off, your sleep isn’t the same, your energy is all over the place, and your mood just feels… different.

And a lot of women don’t connect it.

Perimenopause and menopause don’t just affect your cycle. They affect how your whole body functions.

Digestion can slow down.
Foods you used to tolerate don’t sit the same.
Sleep gets lighter or more broken.
Stress hits harder and sticks around longer.

I'm hearing this more and more in clinic.

Women 35-55 coming in saying they feel bloated all the time, their anxiety is higher than usual, sleep is off, and food just isn’t sitting the way it used to. And they’re confused because nothing major has changed, at least not on the surface.

But when you look a little closer, it usually didn’t come out of nowhere.

This is the phase where hormones start to shift, and when that happens, it doesn’t just affect one thing. It can throw off digestion, impact mood, mess with sleep, and make your body respond differently to foods you’ve eaten your whole life without thinking twice.

That’s usually the part people don’t connect.

They think it’s something they ate, or that they need to cut more foods, or try something new. But most of the time, it’s not about doing more. It’s about understanding that your body is changing and it needs a different kind of support now.

I just enrolled in a 6 month Women’s Hormone Health Certification and I’m honestly really excited to go deeper into this area.

Hormones and gut health are so tightly connected, and it’s something I see all the time. Perimenopause and menopause are not that far off for me, and I also know I carry a lot of stress, so this feels like the right time to really understand what’s happening in the body on a deeper level.

This program covers everything from the HPA axis and adrenal health to painful or heavy cycles, PCOS, infertility, metabolic issues and so much more. My intention is to combine this with the gut work I already do so I can support women in a more complete way.

There is nothing more rewarding than creating lasting change!

“ I visited Kelsey six months ago because I was struggling with severe constipation issues and digestive system inflammation. Over the past couple of years, I had tried various therapies to balance my digestive system, but nothing seemed to work. I had been experiencing bloating and an inflamed digestive tract, and a specialist had suggested corticosteroids, which merely suppressed my inflammation without addressing the actual issue. When I came across colon hydrotherapy with Kelsey, I was ready to explore this approach, feeling desperate and hopeless. During my first appointment, she recommended the GI Map test. No one had taken my issues as seriously as she did, digging deep to uncover the root causes of my problems. After receiving my GI Map results, I began a regimen of supplements and natural products that Kelsey recommended, in addition to acupuncture therapy. Now, I’ve recovered my natural elimination, and the bloating and burping have disappeared. Inflammation is gone since my elimination is working properly. I wear many hats and one of them is doing Acupuncture.

Yesterday was a rest and restore day. Now unlike the colonics, doing acu on myself is definitely tricker. After finishing level 1 of the German auricular medicine, I have moved onto their EMDR auricular bundle. As trauma continuously happens in life or is stored and stuck in the body for decades, I will be learning how to bypass the pre-frontal cortex to help both myself and my clients to stop looping and get unstuck.

Next weekend I signed up for a live Auricular trauma release class.

When something like trauma has such an impact on our daily lives, in my mind it ts time to learn all about it and release it. I’ll be learning how to release the weight of trauma, gently, precisely and effectively. From the root with the power of auricular medicine.
