WEIGHT LOSS STRUGGLES? Many people who are trying to lose weight struggle with snack ideas to help them achieve their goals. If you feel like you’re hungry between meals and your snacks just aren’t enough, it may be that you are not choosing balanced snacks. A balanced snack includes both a protein-containing food and a fibre-containing food. Pairing these two together can help to keep you full for longer and decrease portion sizes at meals.

Great examples of this are veggies and hummus, berries and cottage cheese or popcorn and almonds. On the run? Pair a high-fibre granola bar with some low-fat milk, or make your own trail mix with dried fruit, nuts and high fibre cereal.
