Hello Calgary! It's been a while since we posted a result. We had a great one in the clinic yesterday. This gentleman had imaging results indicating multiple significant rotator cuff tears, tenosynovitis, and impingement syndrome. All without trauma. His shoulder was tearing itself apart and subsequently froze 6 months ago. A couple of precisely placed adjustments later, and see for yourself. Again, we aren't working on the shoulder directly, but stimulating the nervous system in a way that improves shoulder function. His pain went from 8/10 in abduction at 110 degrees, to 3/10 with north of 150 degrees. It had been 6 long months, but today he got on the road to recovery!

Another great result! This patient had a frozen shoulder for over a year that had persisted despite traditional shoulder based treatments. She responded really well on her first day of treatment. See for yourself! By focusing on the neurology, rather than the shoulder itself, we are often able to facilitate significant improvement in shoulder function. If you or someone you care about is suffering with chronic shoulder issues that aren't responding to traditional shoulder treatments, give us a call! We are at Momentum Health Westbrook, and would love to help! www.drdenissimons.com www.momentumhealth.ca

Another great example of the cutting edge work we are doing here at Momentum Health Westbrook. This was a stubborn Frozen Shoulder of 4 months duration. We were able to achieve significant increases in ROM coupled with decreased pain on the first treatment. We didn't touch the shoulder during treatment and the elapsed time between the two photos is less than 10 minutes. It should take us about 4 weeks to treat this shoulder, with her current physio playing an important role as well. I stress this over and over. Many chronic shoulder issues are not actually shoulder issues. When you treat from a neurological perspective, you get results where others don't. If you, or someone you know has a frozen shoulder/adhesive capsulitis, or another chronic shoulder issue, we would be happy to help.

Patients are often surprised to see an Xbox camera in my office. Well, it's not for video games! With the help of Javad and his crew at www.bodiometer.com I am able to use this camera to precisely and objectively measure the range of motion of a patient's shoulder, both pre and post treatment. Further, the software tracks the data (ROM, pain) and plots it over time so we can tailor each treatment and track effectiveness. Hello Friends. As a healthcare provider who is still seeing urgent/emergent cases, first responders, and front line health care workers in person and via telerehab where possible, I find myself unable to apply for CERB despite the fact that my practice is closed to the general public. Like most practitioners in this situation, we are providing service out of a sense of duty, trying to help our most needy patients and help unburden the ER's and walk in clinics. Most of us are losing money keeping our practices open to perform this service. The current rules force us to choose between providing for our families or providing much needed care to this demographic. Please take the time to sign this petition which would allow us to claim CERB AND continue to provide service where appropriate and needed!

Thanks!
