(281)

Through a variety of yoga styles designed for all levels, we create and hold a space that invites people to connect with one another and an opportunity to be their authentic self. Our instructors encourage personal exploration, non-attachment to outcome and present moment awareness. We offer the Great Yoga Wall, Ashtanga Yoga, Flow Yoga, Yin/Yang Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yoga Barre, Rollax, Warm Hips and Hamstrings, Warm Yin/Restorative, Yin Restorative with Nidra. All of which use a combination of movement and posture synchronized with the breath. Strength, flexibility, stamina and complete relaxation are developed along with balance and concentration. We believe in fostering the practice not only within the physical body but the heart, soul and mind as well. There are many free 2 hours spots available on side streets and we have $2 parking inside the indoor car lot located on 18th avenue on the side of the studio.

We have one more space available in this circle.

Our 50 Hour Yin Teacher Training begins Friday, February 27.

Settle into stillness.
Explore depth.

Lived experience becomes the teacher. Explore compression and tension, yin and yang, connective tissue, fascia, meridian theory, and the nervous system. Learn how to sequence for personal practice and how to guide others safely and skillfully.

Candace and Lisa hold a grounded, sacred container where breathwork, meditation, inquiry, and practice are woven throughout. Nothing rushed. Nothing forced. Space to soften and learn from what arises.

Let the practice meet you โœจ
Allow each pose to meet your body in this moment. Move in conversation with your breath, your energy, and what is present today.

Strength grows through listening.
Resilience emerges through steady presence.
Discernment develops as you learn to feel clearly and respond with a deeper clarity.

Each time you meet yourself honestly, capacity expands. Trust deepens. The body and mind organize in ways that support you from within.

Practice becomes a place of connection, understanding, and growth.

Begin exactly here โค๏ธ

Yoga, at its โค๏ธ, turns us toward ourselves.

Practice brings us closer to the place within us that loves honestly, steadily, and without condition.

We are invited to meet ourselves as we are.
Not only the parts that feel strong and certain, but the parts that are tender, uncertain, and the parts of ourselves we may have turned away from, waiting to be seen and welcomed back into wholeness.

We learn to stay.
To listen.

And we do not do this alone.
Practice unfolds within connection, within community, within shared space where we are seen, supported, and reminded of who we are.

From there, love becomes something we embody. Something we live. Something we share freely, whether with ourselves, or alongside another.

You are worthy of that love.
Not someday. Not once youโ€™ve changed or improved.
Worthy, as you are.

May your practice remind you of the love that begins within and naturally extends outward.

Happy Valentineโ€™s Day โค๏ธ

Standing in samasthitihi (equal standing)
A place to meet ourselves and to remember โค๏ธ
A place to arrive exactly where we are, within that where we have been, and within that where we are becoming โœจ

In equal standing, we gather ourselves into balance.
Weight evenly shared. Attention evenly held. Presence evenly embodied.

From this place of integration, we stand like a mountain.
Steady. Awake. Whole.

Samastitihi reminds us that before we rise, we first arrive.
We find our truth and our voice.
And in that equal standing, we grow into the wisdom of being exactly here. โœจ

Nadi Shodhana is a steadying breath practice rooted in balance. Ida and Pingala. Moon ๐ŸŒ– and Sun โ˜€๏ธ Cooling and warming energies moving alongside one another.

As we move into the week, and as we move through life, this practice offers a way to support the nervous system and return to centre. Sometimes because things feel busy or loud, and sometimes simply because itโ€™s time to pause and remember.

To practice, find a comfortable seat. Use whichever hand feels most comfortable. Let the index and middle fingers rest gently between the eyebrows, at centre.

First take a breath through both nostrils and then block the right and exhale through the left. Stay for the inhale and then block the left nostril and exhale through the right.
Remain on the right for the inhale.
Block the right nostril and exhale through the left.

Continue for several rounds, always blocking on the exhale and remaining on the same side for the inhale.

The breath moves slowly and deliberately. Nothing is forced. Nothing is rushed.

Nadi Shodhana reminds us that balance is something we tend to, again and again, one breath at a time.

Today is the Snow Moon.

A full moment in the cycle.
A natural pause.

Yoga knows how to meet moments like this.
We stop.
We notice.
We stay with whatโ€™s here.

The Snow Moon invites reflection without force.
What feels complete.
What is soft enough to release.
And as space opens, so do new possibilities.

These small rituals matter.
They tune us to rhythm, to breath, to the quiet ways we stay connected to ourselves and to one another.

Letโ€™s take the time.
Let the practice hold the pause.

Perhaps belonging is not something we build,
Perhaps it is something that happens
when we stop bracing against ourselves.

When effort softens,
when the body is allowed to open in its own time,
when nothing needs to be proven.

Sometimes the practice is not becoming more,
it is remembering
we were never separate to begin with.

Yin is an opportunity to listen.
No need to push. No need to perform.

Our Yin teacher training begins at the end of February.

Yin says slow down. Yin says stay with sensation, stillness, and time and let them become both the challenge and the opportunity. Let learning how to be with self become part of the practice.

In this 50-hour yin training lived experience becomes the teacher. Explore compression and tension, yin and yang, connective tissue, and the nervous system. Learn how to sequence for personal practice and how to guide others safely and skillfully into a Yin practice.

Candace and Lisa hold a grounded, sacred container where breathwork, meditation, inquiry, and practice are woven throughout. Nothing rushed. Nothing forced. Space to soften and learn from what arises.

So much gratitude for this dedicated crew and the commitment they bring to weekly advanced asana on Wednesdayโ€™s at Kensington.

Curiosity, strength, and play unfolding together.

Guided by Jasmine, the room becomes spacious, focused, and alive with exploration.

Edges played, limits gently questioned, and something meaningful is created through shared effort.

Moments like this show why community matters and what becomes possible when practice is held together.

And there is always room for you โœจ

Have you ever noticed how the mind keeps moving even when nothing is happening?

We spend a lot of time believing rest means blankness. No thoughts. No activity. Just sleep. But the mind rarely stops. Even in deep rest, something subtle remains. A sense of absence. A quiet knowing. A trace of awareness.

๐’๐ฎ๐ญ๐ซ๐š ๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐š๐ฒ / ๐’๐ฎ๐ญ๐ซ๐š ๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ

Sleep is a mental activity that arises from the experience of absence.

We say, โ€œI wasnโ€™t thinking.โ€
We say, โ€œI was completely out.โ€
But absence itself becomes the object.
Blankness is still something the mind knows.

This sutra invites a reframe of rest. Sleep is not the shutting off of the mind but another form of movement within it. Awareness softens. Content thins. Still, the mind remains engaged with the sense of nothingness.

Let the sutra meet you where you are and maybe ask
