Is it real or just familiar?
Sometimes we see what we expect, not what is. The mind fills in the gaps, draws from memory, and makes meaning fast.
We donโt even notice when weโve slipped into assumption.

Misconception is false knowledge formed by perceiving something incorrectly.
We mistake the rope for a snake.
We hear a word and take it personally.
We watch someoneโs expression and assume their thoughts.
The moment becomes distorted, but we believe it anyway.
Misconception isnโt always dramatic.
Sometimes itโs the tiniest turn of the mind
That takes us away from whatโs actually happening.
This sutra invites us to notice
Where story has taken the place of truth
And where we might be ready to see again.
Let the sutra meet you where you are and maybe ask what have you mistaken lately and are you willing to look again?
