In our fitness and health culture we understand how important it is to move out bodies and to 'train'. We forget that is just as, if not even more so, important to 'train' our minds with meditation, quiet and focus. If you find yourself saying 'my brain is too busy to meditate....that is exactly why you need to meditate.

Meditation is is simple and yet there is a variance of ways to approach it. The most basic method is to sit comfortably with your spine in neutral, settle in and feel your sit bones, close your eyes and begin to breathe easily, watch and notice the experience of your breath, if thoughts come into your mind just take notice and softly bring your focus back to your breath.
Continue for as long as you like.

Meditating because your mind is too busy is like saying you don't do yoga because you are too inflexible. Just start, start with what you can do and build on that. You will be surprised with how far that will take you when you pair that with continuity. : )

Your breath will tell you everything that you need to know, you just have to learn its language. To learn any language you first have to listen and then you can begin to make the connections. Take the time to learn your most valuable aspect of body language.

Another client sent me this a week ago.
"I've been meaning to tell you how life changing the YT has been for me. Since my first car accident in 2010, I haven't been able to sit in a car for longer than 45 mins. For our anniversary weekend we drove the Icefields a Parkway and I was in the car for 6-9 hours each day. It was the first road trip that I haven't had a severe migraine by the end. In those years I haven't driven more than an hour and I drove three hours each way last week to Montana to see a childhood friend. Thanks so much!"
