Every new year is a time to reflect on what's important in life 🤔 and we think regular bowel movements are underrated and deserve a spotlight 💩🤩
Here are 5 simple tips to get your gut health in sync with a regular routine:
1) 🥞Eat breakfast to provide BULK and help stimulate a bowel movement. Most people are most likely to have a bowel movement in the morning, and food can help pave the way and push things down.
2) 🥤Drink plenty of water. Think of water like lubrication to your bowels. Your p**p needs hydration so it is nice and soft. Also, have you ever gone down a waterslide without water? Ouch.
3) 🥝Focus on fibre. Not a surprise here. Fibre and water are also best friends. Pairing one with the other tends to be a good idea. If you consume a balanced diet with various foods, it is likely you'll hit your fibre goal. If you fall short, there are a variety of fibre supplements you can incorporate to hit those targets.
4) 🧖Just relax. Nothing is worse than having to p**p in public. Or at your new partner's house with them lingering just outside the door on the bed. Finding a protected bathroom time to have your movement without feeling rushed or stressed is essential. We are not p**ping in fight or flight mode.
5) 🚶Find time to move. Nothing keeps the guts moving like moving your body. It's true, regular movement can help keep you regular.
