We are so excited to partner up for a second time with The Art of Performance this year!

This 4-day camp blends artistry, connection, and high-level technical development to help bridge the gap between today’s legends and the next generation of skaters.

From faculty chats and mental performance sessions to skating skills, jumping technique, dance, and off-ice training, athletes leave with tools they simply won’t find anywhere else.

Our role is to support that artistry with science. We integrate strength and conditioning, recovery strategies, pain science education, and embodiment practices to help skaters better understand and tune into their own bodies. By building body awareness alongside physical capacity, we empower athletes to interpret signals, adapt intelligently, and train sustainably. Our coaches and practitioners are there to ensure athletes not only perform beautifully… but develop the resilience, confidence, and self-trust to support longevity in their sport.

At Vital, we believe learning never stops, and when we have the opportunity to learn from other professionals… you best believe we will take it!⁠

Carla (exercise physiologist) and Rachel (physiotherapist) attended ’s ACL Summit last month, bringing back insights from physiotherapists, S&C coaches, and sports science experts. Here’s what they took notes of:⁠

+ Hamstring injuries aren’t one-size-fits-all, each muscle has its own role, and targeting exercises properly can reduce re-injury risk.⁠

+ Early-stage ACL rehab matters more than you think. Restoring full extension, proper gait, and activating quads in the first 4 weeks sets the stage for long-term recovery.⁠

+ Muscles as brakes and springs, eccentric and reflexive training improves performance and prevents re-injury.⁠

+ Jump testing isn’t just about the jump height. Each jump phase tells us information about deficits, strengths, and where to focus our next block of programming.

A big thank you to Orka Performance for such a comprehensive and insightful ACL Summit. It’s experiences like this that help us keep raising the bar for care and performance.⁠
