The future of healthcare depends on engaged, curious minds!

That’s why we were so glad to welcome Grade 9 students from Marshall Springs School, who selected Calgary Health Foundation for a project about nonprofits, and wanted to learn more about our mission.

From conversations about healthcare philanthropy to a behind-the-scenes tour, it was a great opportunity to share how community support helps advance care for patients and families.

Last August, construction began for the new Advanced Interventional Radiology Treatment Centre at Foothills Medical Centre.

Calgary Health Foundation’s philanthropic commitment will help this centre transform how care is delivered - bringing consultation, procedures, and recovery into one connected space, supported by state-of-the-art imaging and minimally invasive technology.

That means next-level care and a better experience for patients and physicians every step of the way.

Today, thanks to the ongoing generosity of this community, parts of the space have already begun receiving patients. Yet there’s still work to be done to fully complete this project. With the help of donors like you, we can get more patients better care, faster.

March is recognized globally as Endometriosis Awareness Month - the time to shine a light on a condition that affects more than 1 in 10 girls and women. Yet despite how common it is, the average time to diagnosis remains 7–8 years.

We’re deeply grateful to Pam Gulbrandsen for courageously sharing her experience with endometriosis. Her story reflects the pain, frustration, and long search for answers that far too many women face.

The recently opened Suncor Women’s Health Centre, made possible by a generous $5 million gift from Suncor, is helping change that. By bringing multidisciplinary, comprehensive care together under one roof, the centre is reducing wait times and improving access to specialized support.

It’s a meaningful step toward a future where every woman receives the standard of care she deserves - and we remain committed to making that the reality for all.
