Over 30 drop in classes a week for all levels and abilities. Yogadotcalm is a warm and welcoming community where individuals come to share, inspire and practice yoga. We approach the yoga practice with a light heart and an open mind. The variety of classes that we offer are facilitated by a strong faculty of teachers, most of whom have over 500 hours of training and many years of experience. We welcome all students, from the seasoned practitioner to the brand new yogi. The calm setting of our studio is complimented by big picture windows, which bring in the light and inspiration necessary to the art of yoga practice. We are so excited that you have found us, and look forward to meeting you on your journey of health, wellness and yoga

I had a dream last night that I could bind in this posture...and then, alas, today in class, I was far from it. Does it matter? Absolutely not, because ultimately, it's the 'try' that cultivates the yoga ✨️feeling✨️....and that's the true gem of a yoga asana practice - the feeling that you can take off your mat and into the world.

Ahhh, savasanaaaaaaa. The power of stillness. Do you love it or hate it? Regardless, it's the one pose that never gets skipped. What is it all about? Why do we do it in every class?
Besides the fact that it's the most normalized and accepted adult group 'nap' situation we know of, it's really meant to be a practice of deep rest, but not quite sleep. 😉
After all that beautiful work you just did - moving your body and breathing deeply, savasana lets the body integrate it all, like digestion for your nervous system.
It gives you the opportunity to enter a state of complete stillness, to welcome a calm state back into the body and mind.
From a mental perspective, it gives us the opportunity to attempt some of yoga's more abstract mental practices such as non-grasping and surrender. Can you let your mind wander without grasping, judging, changing, or fixing? Can you be in the moment with softness and spaciousness?
We hope the info above makes your next savasana a little bit sweeter! Enjoy every minute of it. The world needs more savasana these days. 🩷

Hey Alberta Teachers, we see you! We know it's a stressful time right now. In a small gesture of support, we want to extend a free weekly class to you to help you through these tumultuous times.
So, starting today, teachers can join us for one free class each week, Monday-Friday, while the strike is happening. Simply arrive 10 minutes before any class, show your school/teacher ID at the front desk, and you're good to go!

The fine print:
- One free class per week (M-F), per teacher.
- You must show some form of school/teacher ID.
- Passes cannot be shared, accumulated, transferred, carried forward, or extended.
- Valid for in-studio or live stream (for live stream, you must email us with ID and we will credit a pass to your account. This process will not be immediate, so please plan a day or two ahead for virtual classes).
- This offer is valid until we choose to cancel or until the strike ends.

Thanks for all you do and for your willingness to stand up for an improved education experience for everyone.

Join us this Friday at 7:15pm for a spectacular brain stretch! If you love to learn new ideas, get your brain thinking in different ways, and want to learn about the rich history of the yoga tradition, this is the workshop for you! 🙌
Everyone is welcome, no experience needed. By cash donation $5-10 (all monies go to charity).
