🔥 Session Results: Golfer Hip Pain 🔥

🏌️ Is golf driving your hip pain?

Achy hip pain was preventing one of our 5-handicap golfers from having full confidence in his game.

The problem?

Hip musculature was super tight, likely from multiple reasons including:
• Pushing too far with exercises
• Underlying hip weakness
• Problems turning the lead hip from impact to follow-through

The fix?
➡️ Dry needling the hip muscles
➡️ Cupping outside glutes
➡️ Mobility work into pelvic rotation
➡️ Muscle energy work into internal and external hip rotation

Result?
✅ Hip ache gone!

Outside knee pain stalling your running race plans?🏃‍♂️🏅

A young runner came in with outside knee pain after completing a 190km trail race over 4 days. After a thorough physiotherapy assessment, the diagnosis was ITB Syndrome.

Here’s what we worked on:

✨ Mobility
- Hands-on joint mobilizations for knee + ankle
- Dry needling into hip musculature & quads
- Soft tissue release of quads (lots of it!)
- Ankle mobility work

💪 Movement & Strength
- Neuromuscular re-training for hip rotation + strength
- Neuromuscular re-training of knee extension
- Lunge patterns biasing inside quads
- Calf strengthening
- Breath re-training

✅ Result:
- Back to running after his 2nd appointment in less than 1 week
- Ran 2nd fastest 10K ever for his second run (against his physio’s pace advice 😅)

Next👉 we will be trialing a 15km long run over the weekend and progressing volume to 40k next week and 50km the week after. Building up to 80–100km weekly leading into a 100km race 🏔️

Physiotherapists are primary healthcare practitioners, which means you can book directly without waiting for a referral.
