Throwing it back to Dr. Maryam repping for the brand at our Mykita Trunk Show earlier this season. So many of their beautifully crafted FW2526 pieces have arrived since then and we love each and every one we chose to house in our shop!

Hello Friends! As the temperatures drop, the need for warm clothing is more important than ever. This November, we’re having a coat drive benefitting Project Warmth Society of Alberta to help keep our community warm this winter and we need your help! If you have any new or gently used coats, toques, mittens, scarves, blankets, or boots, gather them up and drop them off in our space.

Donations will be accepted for the rest of November, so don’t wait! Every item you donate will bring warmth and comfort to someone in need this chilly season 🖤

Hello Friends! October is Children’s Vision Month - a time where we are especially dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of vision and also the impact that undiagnosed vision problems can have on a child’s learning and development in particular.

It’s also a time when we run our annual book drive at through our ! We love to connect books with kids and we collect new and gently used books to donate to and other local partners all year long. Over the years, we have collected over 5000 books, which means over 5000 little lives have been changed for the better! So if you are doing your fall clean up, round up those books, bring them to our space (or to some of our community partners who we will highlight in the upcoming days) and help us to create a community of joyful readers! 🖤🤓📚

We’re starting off our week by celebrating our Dr. Rachel who married her sweetheart yesterday afternoon 🥰 Join us in wishing her a lifetime of love, happiness, and joy!

Dr. Rachel has been such an important part of our clinical team for the past 2 years and as an introduction, here’s a little more about her in her own words:

Originally from Parkland County west of Edmonton, I attended the University of Alberta and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Honours Neuroscience. I hold a dual degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, where I earned my Doctor of Optometry as well as a Master’s in Vision Science.

My educational and professional journey has taken me to diverse settings, ranging from rural to urban communities, where I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide spectrum of patients. This includes seniors, children dealing with strabismus and amblyopia, patients recovering from concussions, and both amateur and professional athletes seeking high-level eye care. Beyond offering comprehensive eye care services, I possess a keen interest in managing dry eye conditions and controlling myopia.

When I’m not in the clinic, I indulge in my love for the outdoors through activities like hiking, camping, and skiing. Additionally, I enjoy exploring the vibrant food scene in Calgary.
