I see so many posts about how hard perimenopause is supposed to be…

and I’ll be honest — I don’t relate.

I’m 47 with…

No hot flashes.
No brain fog.
No sleep issues.
No PMS.
My words still show up on demand.
My body still responds when I ask it to.

The *only* thing I’ve noticed?

The myth that you’re “too young” to be experiencing perimenopause…total BS!

With today’s nonstop stressors – work deadlines, family pressure, social obligations – your body is constantly borrowing resources it needs to keep hormones balanced and energy high.

“Oh, when you’re my age, you’ll have all these problems too…”

I’ve heard that from sooooo many women over the years…

But here’s the thing: at 47, I don’t have any of the perimenopause symptoms that 90% of women are complaining about!

Now, I’ll be real with you… over the past 4 years, I did experience a few things:

🫩Morning grogginess—even after a solid 8-hour sleep

It blows my mind how often this comes up in client calls:

When I ask, “What are your main symptoms?” — almost everyone lists fatigue and brain fog at the top.

And when I ask what they’re taking? 👇

They’re all taking some combination of iron, B vitamins, vitamin D, magnesium and ashwagandha. (often all!)

Don’t get me wrong—these can be powerful tools.

But what most people don’t talk about is, if your body isn’t ready for them, they can actually make your fatigue and brain fog worse.

🩸Iron
Most women assume “I’m tired = I need iron.”
But iron needs cofactor nutrients to actually get into your cells.
If you take iron without these, it builds up in storage (ferritin rises) but your cells are still starving for oxygen.
So, you feel heavy, sluggish, puffy, and inflamed… even though your labs “look fine.”

🌿 Ashwagandha
It’s sold as the “energy herb,” but if your cortisol is already tanked from chronic stress, ashwagandha can flatten you even more.
