You’ve done the work.
You “know” what to do.
You’ve seen real results from past health programs.

That confidence in your body and how it responds is earned.

❗️But in this phase of life, aka perimenopause, that same confidence can quietly become the thing that stalls progress.

Because perimenopause is where the body stops responding to surface-level advice and assumptions, and starts responding to data.

What blocks progress now looks like this:⤵️

❌ Not tracking food alongside symptoms, so patterns stay invisible.

❌ Not intentionally removing and reintroducing gluten, dairy, or sugar long enough to see how they affect your sleep, energy, mood, or inflammation.

Every time I see a perimenopause “protocol” with prescriptions and supplements, I have the same question:

how much is this going to cost… and how long before it creates a new set of problems?

Supplements aren’t cheap, and in perimenopause, stacking too many or choosing the wrong ones often backfires.

When hormones are swinging, the body isn’t asking for more pills, it’s asking for foundational support.

And prescriptions tend to chase symptoms rather than address root causes, which can widen nutrient gaps, overload detox pathways, and quietly create more fatigue, weight gain, or brain fog a few months down the line.

My approach is simpler and far more effective.

I start with food. Not in a complicated way, but strategically.

Simple meals, basic macros without counting, and one-stop grocery runs that don’t require overthinking.

When you’re running a business or operating at a high level, you don’t need more things to track. You need a system that lowers mental load and restores energy.

This is exactly how I rebuilt my own energetic capacity.
Chronic fatigue dissolved.
Cystic acne cleared.
Mood swings settled into calm, steady focus under stress.

About 80% of that transformation came from upgrading how I ate so my body could actually produce, clear, and regulate hormones again.

From there, everything else finally worked.

Most perimenopause messaging treats women like they’re uninformed or overwhelmed.

As if symptoms appear because you picked the wrong diet, skipped the right supplement, or didn’t try the correct version of magnesium.

That framing misses the point.

You’ve already done a lot right.
You eat healthy.
You’re conscientious with supplements.
You pay attention to your body.

Your body doesn’t care that a food is on the ‘healthy’ list.

If you’re a woman over 40 and seeing the new U.S. food guidelines everywhere right now, here’s an important reminder:

Your body is unique.
And not every “approved” food supports it the same way.

Example → dairy is on the list.
Full-fat.
Low-sugar.

And for some women?
→ Dairy quietly drives inflammation, worsens fatigue, stalls weight loss, and disrupts hormones — especially during perimenopause.

The same is true for other “healthy” foods.

I’ve worked with women who feel congested, break out, crash hard, or get brain fog after foods like avocados.

Avocados are super nutritious — I eat them daily.
But they can trigger histamine reactions in certain bodies.

This is the part that gets missed when headlines say “use food as medicine”:

Food medicine only works when it’s matched to the person.
(but medical treatments are pretty generic so I get the confusion!)

If you’re dealing with ongoing fatigue, weight gain, hot flashes, night sweats, or inflammation — and you’re doing everything “right” — it may not be what you’re eating.

It may be how your body is responding to it right now.

Especially in your 40s and 50s, when tolerance, stress load, and inflammatory response are changing.

Eat real food.
Trust your own data more than a headline.

THIS makes me cringe ⤵️

“Any supplement ideas for fatigue / brain fog / mood swings / hormones?”

And a dozen strangers jump in with:
→ “Try this.”
→ “That worked for me.”
→ “I read this was good.”

That’s such a damaging, misguided way to approach hormonal health (especially after 40).

Because fatigue, bloat, hot flashes, weight gain, mood swing, poor stress response, brain fog, acne, etc are symptoms…

And symptoms alone don’t explain why something is happening in your body.

They just tell you something isn’t working the way it used to.

And when symptoms get treated as single problems with random supplements — without context, testing, or an understanding of your own physiology — that’s not really taking your health into your own hands.

That’s guessing.

That’s why so many women come to me already exhausted from “trying everything.”

Bouncing from supplement to supplement.
Chasing symptoms.
Feeling more reactive, more sensitive, and worse over time.

😧 And this matters even more in perimenopause —
when what used to work suddenly doesn’t,
when your body feels unpredictable,

and I don’t really relate to the “perimenopause is a downhill slide” crowd.

Because I stopped chasing my hormones — and started fixing what was actually driving the symptoms.

If you’re tired, foggy, moody, wired-but-exhausted, or feel like your stress tolerance disappeared overnight… this is for you.

These are the 5 habits that actually changed things for me (and my clients):

1. Daily, complete elimination. Every single day.

Constipation isn’t just uncomfortable — it lets “used” hormones recirculate.

I test this every 3–4 weeks because hormone clearance matters more than hormone levels.

2. I stopped treating this like a hormone problem.

Most symptoms women blame on “imbalances” are actually inflammation-driven.

Hot flashes, bloating, weight gain, poor sleep, brain fog — inflammation is loud.

3. I ditched adaptogens until I knew why I needed them.

Stress resilience doesn’t come from trendy herbs when nutrient gaps are the real issue.
