Step into better support 👣

If you’re dealing with foot pain, knee discomfort, or even low back tension, your foundation matters more than you think.

Custom orthotics are designed to support your unique foot structure and help improve alignment from the ground up.

April is Foot Health month, so we’re offering a special promotion on custom orthotics all month long.

Orthotics may help with:
• Foot pain (plantar fasciitis, arch pain)
• Knee and hip discomfort

Think all planks are the same? Think again.

Planks can be adjusted to match your level and target different areas of the core — it’s not one-size-fits-all.

Try these variations:
- Modified plank (knees down) – great for building a foundation
- Standard forearm plank – full core engagement
- High plank (on hands) – adds shoulder stability
- Side plank – targets obliques and lateral stability
- Plank with leg lift – challenges balance and control
- Plank with shoulder taps – adds dynamic stability
- Plank from forearms to hands - adds dynamic stability

The key isn’t doing the hardest version — it’s choosing the variation you can perform with control and proper form.
Quality over quantity, every time.

Share with someone you think could benefit from planks.

Looking for something different than a traditional massage?

Thai massage combines assisted stretching, movement, and pressure techniques to help improve mobility and reduce tension throughout the body.

Often described as “passive stretching,” it can help:
✔ Improve flexibility
✔ Reduce muscle tightness
✔ Support joint mobility
✔ Promote relaxation

Unlike traditional massage, Thai massage is typically performed fully clothed and incorporates guided movements to help your body move more freely.

If you’re feeling stiff, restricted, or just need a reset, this may be a great option to add to your care.

The plank — simple, but not always easy

Planks are a great way to build core stability, but it’s not just about how long you can hold it — it’s about how well you do it.

Focus on quality over time:
✔ Keep your ribs stacked over your pelvis
✔ Engage your core (without holding your breath)
✔ Maintain a neutral spine
✔ Avoid letting your hips sag or lift too high

When done properly, planks can help support:
• Spinal stability
• Posture
• Overall movement efficiency

Start with shorter holds and build gradually.

Remember — it’s not about pushing through, it’s about building control.

Make sure to follow us for variations on the plank.

If you experience tingling, numbness, or tightness through the arm or hand, gentle nerve gliding exercises may help improve mobility along the nerve pathway.

How to perform median nerve flossing:

1. Start by making a fist with your thumb on the inside.
2. Bend your wrist, then bend your elbow.
3. Bring your little finger towards your chest.
4. Bring your ear down to your shoulder.
5. Extend your arm as far as you can without pain, feeling a stretch.
6. Return your arm to the starting position.
7. Tilt your head to the opposite shoulder, feeling a stretch in your neck. Then tilt your head back to the first shoulder.

Move slowly and stay within a comfortable range — this should not reproduce strong symptoms.

Try 3 repetitions, 3 times per day moving smoothly through the motion.

If you’re experiencing persistent arm or hand symptoms, a proper assessment can help determine the underlying cause and the most appropriate treatment approach.

Headache or migraine — do you know the difference? 🧠

Many people use these terms interchangeably, but they’re actually different conditions.

While both involve head pain, migraines are often more intense and can come with additional symptoms like nausea, light sensitivity, or visual changes.

Understanding the difference can help you better recognize patterns, triggers, and when it might be helpful to seek further support.

Swipe through to learn some of the key differences between headaches and migraines.

If head pain is becoming frequent or interfering with your daily life, identifying possible contributing factors — including neck tension, posture, or nervous system stress — can be an important step.

Tingling or numbness in your hand or fingers?

The median nerve runs from your neck through your arm and into your hand. When it becomes irritated or restricted along its path, it can contribute to symptoms like tingling, numbness, or forearm tightness.

Median nerve flossing is a gentle movement that helps the nerve glide more freely through surrounding tissues and may help reduce irritation.

Stay tuned, and Angie will show you how to perform the movement.

Not All Supplements Are Created Equal

When it comes to supplements, the format matters just as much as the ingredient. The way a supplement is delivered can affect how well your body absorbs and uses it.

Here’s a quick breakdown 👇

💊 Capsules & Tablets
✔ Convenient
✔ Longer shelf life
✔ Easy to dose
⚠️ May take longer to break down and absorb

🧃 Powders
✔ Faster absorption
✔ Flexible dosing
✔ Great for higher doses (like magnesium or collagen)
⚠️ Taste may not appeal to everyone

💧 Liquids
✔ Quick absorption
✔ Helpful for children or those who struggle swallowing pills
⚠️ May have a shorter shelf life

The “best” format depends on:
▪️ Your digestion
▪️ The specific nutrient
▪️ Your health goals
▪️ Lifestyle preferences

If you’re unsure which type is right for you, we’re happy to help guide you toward options that align with your needs. Call us to schedule your appointment with one of our practitioners. 📲 587-352-9199
