Wishing everyone a happy holiday. Feeling grateful despite ongoing active stage 4 that I feel well enough to celebrate.

When Nanny Nix she didn’t get to pick out her dress with friends and family by her side, so she “said yes” to her GMOB dress. She will look fabulous!

What does a typical day of Ifosfamide look like? I’m getting ifos to treat recurrent metastatic lung nodules in my left upper lobe, after a primary sarcoma in my left leg in 2021. Every 21 days, I get the drug all day for three days (it’s quite toxic to the bladder so it’s given slowly and with mesna to bind some of the bladder toxic bits) and with fluids. Then, the drug accumulated until day 7-14 and then washes out, and we do it all again. Sometimes, people think that I’m only “getting chemo” on infusion days, but as it acts in my system for most of the cycle, most days are “chemo days”. This differs for different drugs, but has been true for my cycles. Hope this helps with a bit of what the process looks like! I’ve been planned for 6, 21 day cycles.
