In families where one child has higher support needs, siblings often carry a quiet emotional load. They may feel proud and protective, but they can also feel left out, overwhelmed or unsure how to express their worries.

Making intentional space for their feelings, interests and one to one connection helps them feel seen and supported. When siblings thrive, the whole family grows stronger together.

Do you have a sibling in your family that could use support? Our next Sibshops is on December 1 and you can try it for free! Contact us for more info!

Holiday photos can be exciting and stressful at the same time. Preparing kids for Santa can make the experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

Talking about what to expect, practicing at home, bringing comfort items and taking the pressure off can help kids feel safe and confident.

At our Sensory-Friendly Christmas Party on December 5 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, children can visit Santa in a quiet, low-stimulation room with no fixed time slots. Families can take their time, try again later if needed and create memories at a pace that feels right.

A psychoeducational assessment is like a roadmap for learning. It answers:
✔ Why is my child struggling?
✔ What are their strengths?
✔ What supports will make the biggest difference?

Assessments give schools and families the insights they need to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Reading is more than just a school skill — it’s the foundation for confidence, communication, and independence. 🌟

When children struggle with reading, it can affect every subject and how they see themselves as learners. The good news? With the right support, every child can build the skills they need to thrive.

Our Reading Program helps children strengthen literacy foundations through individualized, engaging, and evidence-based support, which helps kids grow not only as readers, but as confident learners. 💬

As the days get shorter and routines start to shift, it’s a great time for a seasonal mental health check-in 🍁

Darker evenings, colder weather, and schedule changes can affect mood, focus, and energy for both kids and parents. A few small steps can make a big difference:
☀️ Get daylight in the morning
🛏️ Keep sleep and routines steady
💬 Talk about feelings openly
🤗 Use coping strategies that work for your child

Little adjustments help families stay balanced through fall and winter.

Being an Occupational Therapist means your car might look a little different 😅 OT Sierra takes therapy on the go, so her trunk is packed with all the essentials -from body socks to toy food- to make sure she to bring play, movement, and learning wherever sessions takes her!
