I love teaching and educating my clients in the Pilates Method of Body Conditioning, helping them grow taller, stronger, for longer (like into really old age). My fitness philosophy is based on the study and critical application of the original principles of Joseph Pilates, developed over 100 years ago. Pilates Method is an appropriate exercise discipline for everyone at any stage of physical fitness. The results are efficiency and ease in movement by building a stronger body that you move with fluidity and greater awareness. Uniquely blending two of the industry’s most powerful and timeless disciplines, Pilates and boxing, PILOXING SSP adds the third element of dance in this high-energy interval workout.PILOXING can burn up to 800 calories in an hour. Weighted
gloves add to the workout by toning arms and improving cardiovascular health. Andrea Dean trained directly under Viveca Jensen in the instructor training
in Hollywood California. She is the first fully licensed Elite Piloxing instructor in Calgary. Essentrics strengthens and stretches every muscle in the body eccentrically, a practice in contracting and lengthening muscles at the same time. It incorporates various techniques and movements to systematically work every joint in the body. The basis of the workout is a dynamic combination of strength and flexibility exercises, designed to pull apart the joints by elongating the muscles and challenging them in the lengthened position.
