Hara Holistic Education 🌟

Many homes carry more scent than we realize sprays, detergents, cleaners.

Even subtle synthetic fragrance can keep the nervous system in stress.

I have tried removing many scented/toxic/chemical products from my home - and it makes a difference in how my body feels. I can’t even walk down the cleaning aisle in stores anymore. 😬

Less chemical = more calm.
See what you can eliminate.

This kind of sensory awareness is part of creating true sanctuary.

New Moons aren’t really about intention-setting for me.
They feel more like an invitation to pause.

In Jyotish Astrology , this is a time to listen to the body and mind rather than push for clarity.

Questions I sit with:
• What feels overstimulating right now?
• What does my breath need more of?
• Where can I soften my pace?

Often, clarity comes later, once the mind and nervous system has space.

Hara Holistic Education 🌟

When the breath slows naturally, the nervous system begins to trust that it’s safe to soften.

In Hara Breath®, we don’t force the breath.
We listen, observe, and create the conditions where the body can settle on its own.

This distinction between control and awareness is one of the first things students learn in the practitioner training.
Rest. Repair. Heal.

Honouring the Pause:

Late winter has its own emotional tone.
There’s often reflection, heaviness, or a sense of being: done but not quite ready for the next steps…

Ayurveda understands this as part of the season of transition.

This time of year asks for continued warmth, routine, and patience.
Less stimulation.
More containment.

This seasonal awareness is something we spend a lot of time with in Ayurvedic training, especially when supporting mental and emotional balance.

Hara Holistic Education 🌟

In Vastu Shastra, walk ways/hallways/sidewalks or paths - represent forward movement.
When space is cluttered or tight, the body stays subtly alert, always navigating, restricted - often unable to move forward.
This week - try clearing one pathway.
Just enough that movement feels easier.
Inside hallway.
Outside sidewalk (even shovelling)!

When our space is clear - energy flows.

Mid-January is a Vata-dominant time - cold, dry, windy, transitional.

Common signs:
• scattered energy
• anxious thoughts
• disrupted sleep
• feeling ungrounded

Ayurveda responds with containment, not stimulation.

Think:
• warmth
• routine
• repetition
• predictability
• gentleness

This is the season for fewer inputs, not more goals.

After the holidays, the home often holds residual energy - movement, emotion, noise, stimulation.

In Vastu Shastra, this is a powerful time to reset the energetic tone of your space.

Start simply:
• open windows for fresh air (even briefly)
• clear one surface completely
• return objects to their “home”
• light a candle or lamp intentionally

This isn’t about cleaning — it’s about letting the nervous system register completion.

A calm space helps the body orient to a new season.

Clutter isn’t just physical - it’s neurological.

Too much visual input keeps the nervous system scanning.

As we move through the new year, gentle clearing creates immediate relief:
• one surface
• one drawer
• one corner

Clearing space isn’t about control.
It’s about letting the body rest.

Hara Holistic Education🌟

Even in winter, opening doors or windows for 5–10 minutes a day allows fresh prana to circulate, clears stagnant energy, and supports respiratory and immune health.

Even if it’s chilly - your entire home will breathe better and feel better!

Not all breathwork training is the same.

Hara Breath® is:
• slow, not overwhelming
• trauma-aware, not exerting
• embodied, not performative
• therapeutic, not trendy

We work with the breath as an intelligent system, not something to force or manipulate. Balancing the overactive nervous system.

This is why many of our students are already bodyworkers, therapists, and practitioners - they’re looking for depth, safety, and integrity.

Hara Holistic Education 🌟

Your nervous system is constantly responding to your environment.

Lighting.
Air quality.
Clutter.
Sound.
Scent.

When these inputs are harsh or chaotic, the body stays alert.

One of the simplest shifts you can make is choosing softness over stimulation - especially at home.

This isn’t aesthetic.
It’s regulation.
