How does the Light Adjustable Lens Work?

The Light Adjustable Lens is a small intraocular lens (IOL) made from a special photosensitive material that changes shape under UV light. The lens can be adjusted up to three times, and during this time, you get to “test drive” your vision to see what you like best. Once you and your doctor are satisfied with your visual outcome, two final treatments are performed that “lock in” the lens so you can permanently enjoy your new vision.
