Today, we join the United Nations in celebrating International Volunteer Day, recognized every year on December 5. This year’s theme: Every Contribution Matters, couldn’t ring more true.
At Between Friends, we see the impact of volunteerism every single day. Our community is strengthened not only by our program volunteers, but also by those who nurture our garden, help keep our camps welcoming and well-maintained, and support us in countless other meaningful ways. Every hour shared and every task completed helps create spaces where our members can explore, connect, and thrive.
Volunteers don’t just help us deliver programs. They help create moments of connection, confidence, and joy. Their contributions, big and small, add up to something powerful.
