As babies, we begin to develop the ability to produce different sounds. By age 7, children should be able to pronounce all the different speech sounds.

If your child is not yet able to say speech sounds expected for their age and they are hard to understand than they may benefit from speech therapy.

There's more to books than just reading the words.

When looking at books with your little one it is a great idea to add comments that support your child’s development and understanding of:
-Action words (e.g., stomping)
-Location words (e.g., on)
-Attributes (e.g., huge)
-Comparisons (e.g., quietest)

You can also keep your child engaged by adding gestures and actions to stories.
