The Float Pod creates an environment that cannot be found anywhere else on earth. During your session you are floating effortlessly in 1500 lbs of Epsom Salt dissolved into 11-inch of skin temperature water within a lightproof and soundproof environment. Gravity and sensory input are almost completely eliminated creating the ideal environment, for profound relaxation, healing and insight. Gravity, which has been estimated to occupy 90 percent of all central nervous system activity, is essentially eliminated. By freeing our brain and skeletal system from gravity, floating liberates large areas of the brain and thus, allows more central nervous system activity to be available, creating the perfect brain and body state for enhanced relaxation, healing and creative thought. Water temperature is maintained at skin temperature and after a few minutes you lose the awareness of where the body ends and the water begins. After resting in this unique environment many arthritis and fibromyalgia sufferers claim this to be the greatest form of pain relief they have ever found. Scientifically validated benefits include decreases in muscle tension, blood pressure and stress hormones, while at the same time the brain pumps out high levels of endorphins (our feel good hormones). After you feel the effects of your first float you may wonder how something so simple can have such a profound effect on your overall well-being. However, the benefits of floating are backed by over thirty years of mainstream scientific research in human performance.

The point of a cold plunge isn’t to see how long you can withstand maximal pain. It’s to feel a little more calm, present, and to trigger a cascade of feel-good chemicals.

It doesn’t require sitting in a cold plunge for several minutes. A good question to ask with any practice is: Is this making me more present, or more neurotic?

Learning to stay calm through the breath in a cold plunge is one of the best mindfulness practices that can teach how to stay calm in everyday life.

30-60 seconds at 10 degrees is all we need to start cultivating this inner body awareness!

Sunlight gives us far more than just Vitamin D.

Roughly 60–65% of the light reaching Earth is in the red and infrared spectrum — wavelengths that support our cells, mitochondria, circulation, and recovery.

When we spend too much time indoors, it’s not just Vitamin D we miss. We miss a huge portion of the light our bodies evolved with.

It’s another reminder that getting outside and into natural light is one of the simplest ways to support your health. ☀️

Infrared and red light have been shown to help increase energy, elevate mood, speed recovery, rejuvenate skin, and reduce inflammation.

It’s not magic. It’s about providing the body with the nourishment it needs in the form of specific spectrums of light that our cells use to function and repair.

After all, it’s hard to get enough light during a Calgary winter.

We are not just biochemical beings.
We are bioelectrical.

Red and near-infrared light (600–1000nm) interact directly with your cells.

Here’s what happens:
⚡ Increased ATP (cellular energy)
🩸 Improved blood flow through nitric oxide release
🛡️ Reduced inflammation + stronger antioxidant defenses
🧬 Activation of repair pathways
💧 Improved cellular hydration and efficiency

Without the proper adequate light our cells become less efficient and breakdown over time.

Especially in a Calgary winter.

Try your first 40 min infrared sauna session with red light therapy for only $20!

Light = Energy.
Energy = Repair.
Repair = Resilience.

Light is something we just see. But specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light are absorbed directly by your mitochondria — improving energy production, reducing cellular waste, and triggering repair. This is the foundation of light therapy. ✨
