If you’ve been driving around Calgary lately, you’ve probably seen a bunch of billboards for Morpheus8. But you’re probably not too sure what exactly Morpheus8 is. So… let me tell you!

Morpheus8 is a radio frequency (RF) microneedling treatment. Basically, that means that it uses a specific type of heat energy coupled with microneedles to induce a regenerative effect in your skin. Happy International Women’s Day! I woke up to a lovely surprise this morning. My hubby made a beautiful card with my kiddos for me to celebrate today. Some weeks are hard with long hours and bringing work home and it was a nice reminder that not only is the work and effort appreciated that I’m also setting an example for all my kiddos and especially my daughter. Now to keep working on that work-life balance 😉

I appreciate all of the hard work from all of the women out there. Whether it’s in an office, as an entrepreneur, in the home or wherever you make it!

Also, a big shout out to my Mom who is one of the fiercest, caring, and supportive women I know. Thanks for pushing me all these years Mom! ❤️

Here are the essential basics to a good skin care regime.
A - vitamin A (i.e. your retinols)
If you aren't using retinol, you're missing out! Retinol helps your skin cells turn over more quickly and induces collagen production. As you age, your collagen decreases and can lead to dull skin that is prone to fine lines, wrinkles and sagging.
B - block (sunscreen)
Yes, I realize it is winter. However, I still wear my sunscreen every day. Sun exposure is one of the biggest extrinsic causes for aging skin. If you want to avoid wrinkles, oxidative stress, pigmentation and sun damage, a sunscreen is a must. When choosing a sunscreen make sure to use a physical vs a chemical based option, especially for your face.
C - vitamin C
One phrase - oxidative stress. We can't avoid it. It happens every day - between sun exposure, pollution, internal inflammation, poor diet, etc. Vitamin C is your protector and your best friend. Although not all vitamin C's are made equal. More to come on this in a future post :)
